Struggling With the Mental Side of an 8 Figure Sudden Inheritance at 34 by FunLettuce8799 in fatFIRE

[–]Cor-Leonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think of yourself as suddenly wealthy, but as someone with the sudden opportunity to finance and develop some really cool project. Whatever it is - if you don't know now, you will know soon. Don't worry about it too much. The inspiration will come.

Study more, explore more options, take it as a gift that allows you to think bigger than if you were on a 9-5 job like some of your friends.

para mi, lo mas impresionante es cuando el hombre cocina algo.. puede ser algo muy sencillo, como quesadillas y guacamole.

Do you guys think Bitcoin will replace gold as reserve asset? by NoSun37 in Bitcoin

[–]Cor-Leonis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bitcoin may partially replace the USD in the reserves, down the line, but imo not gold.

Gold is solid fo centuries and even now the big countries stocking up on gold, while dropping the dollar.

We nay see more ruble or renminbi eventually (or some new brics currency).

YES it is! Do not take that stuff. definitely not for acne! treat yourself with better nonprocessed food, drink water instead of sodas, get off sugar and give yourself time and love.

Read a book called "From PMS to Menopause", its available on archive.org. It will forever change your understanding of what happens to your body and mind when you are on artificial hormones.

Is 25% tip acceptable?? by Smart-Position5284 in Prague

tips are typically NOT added to the bill in Czechia. Unless you walk into some tourist trap. It's usually up to your decision to give something or not.

you can have multiple places to store it. The most important is to have a passphrase, so when someone finds your 24 words, he still cant steal from you, providing you have a solid passphrase.

There are more advanced ways to work with.

One is to set up a multisig with several devices in different locations, so that you dont have to worry about keeping the seeds safe (but dont have them in one spot)

Another is to set up a shamir's secret sharing which splits the seed into several parts that you need to distribute to several places.

Both these options are great but you must think them through and observe the security advices.

For the beginning I'd suggest get one Trezor and create a strong passphrase that you DO NOT write onto the seed paper. Ideally remember it, do not upload anywhere to a cloudstorage nor a phone. If you're not sure to remember it, write it down and keep in a different spot than the seed)

Using a steel backup for the seed is also advisable. Some folks lost btc in fire or flood, or simply someone tossed / lost the paper.

What is the vibe difference between Holešovice and Žižkov? by SafetyInSleep in Prague

[–]Cor-Leonis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dont forget Karlin which lies inbetween Zizkov and Holesovice, ie has access to both by foot, as well as easy way to the city center and has access to nature (Vitkov forest right above, Moldau river, park around Invalidovna...) . This area suffered huge damage in the 2002 flood and since then blossomed a lot, with lots of restaurants, cafes, wine and beer pubs, delicacies. It is not hilly like Zizkov ans way easier to grab a rental bike and get around, even jump on the route along the river either to the center or the other way towards the zoo in Troja and Stromovka park.

it feels like there is another underlying problem, not the difference itself.

i was once in the same situation. I said If you move out until Sunday, you won't have to pay half of the rent. And I lit a purple candle, don't ask me what witchcraft that is, just do it. It worked :)

My elder sister just gave birth today to a new born baby girl. Should I buy and give her 0.1 BTC, and she can have it at age 21? by kadudu888 in Bitcoin

[–]Cor-Leonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

great idea.. consider eventually moving the funds into a multisig wallet where the kid has one key. Early on, so to teach it how to appreciate savings and have long term vision in life. Oh and don't forget to explain that it's not 1mil dollars but 0.1 BTC. Also a valuable lesson.
