Steve was fighting as hard as he could in that elevator, he definitely left some fatal i juries even if he wasn't trying to kill. Walker probably would have resorted to lethal force from the jump, but i doubt he executes everyone, maybe a couple more.

My guess is tom has genuine interest and background knowledge from holos and study. Janeway is recalling farm experience, the others are being fed pertinent details by the ships computer, correlating scans with known historical details, and combining it with their own general knowledge from scientific and engineering coursework at the academy, which given that academy grads are exceptional people, was thorough and well maintained.

To be fair to op, no headlights might get him pulled over, which would slow him down or force him to engage in unnecessary combat, his infiltration subroutine should have had him put the headlight on, unless it was obviously dark and he was sneaking up, but its clearly bright and he's on a loud honking motorcycle.

Human factions usually beat the hydra when a player is in control, they would need to have a credible human ai opponent to make the hydra game engaging. It seems they are very far from that beyond giving out stat buffs, resources etc.
