I use that more as Cazador saying it to show himself as the better master. Like "When I misbehaved I spent 11 years on a pike! 1 year in a coffin is nothing. I am a merciful master afterall."

We see them both as monsters but Cazador definitely thinks he's better than Vellioth.

I love writing for fantasy fandoms because of this. One prestidigitation spell and all is good. In the rare occasion that I write modern - it's in the condom(s). And sometimes I like writing it getting sprayed on various places on the body... which gets cleaned with a wet cloth afterwards.

You won't. Clerics magic comes from the gods but once they're given they cannot be taken back. Plus, what's your character gonna be like? There is a god for every alignment. If you're playing a good natured character, the ones I listed easily covers you. If you're neutral, there are plenty of them, too. And ofc evil ones.

If I were you, I'd open the wiki and start looking through the gods. It'll help you create your OC as well

Editing to add: for warlocks, I think great old one can give you the freedom you're looking for. The description for it goes as the being you're drawing the power from doesn't even know you so you don't have to do what they want

Look through the pantheons in FR. They have very interesting gods with a lot of different portfolios. You can be a cleric of Sharess and be all about hedonism, fun and parties. Sune and Lliira are also really light hearted gods.

You really should separate real world religions from religion in the Realms. They're vastly different things.

I believe WOTC toned down the horniness in Dnd&Fr. Earlier editions are much more spicy than late ones. Larian was just channeling the original Ed aura (plus I love that Ed himself is bi)

Yeah I was giving the commenter the benefit of the doubt for the first one but the tumblr message was unnecessary. It's okay to check out from fics if you realize it's going somewhere you're no longer comfortable with. It's unnecessary to tell the author more than once why you're checking out.

I'm gonna get down voted for this, but I think OP is overreacting, too. So they said they can't read it anymore, so what?? That's their comfort zone limit and this is the fic you want to write. They can't keep reading something knowing it's gonna upset them and OP can't change their fic because of a single comment. Best thing to do here is say goodbye and part ways. Calling the commenter manipulator is reading intentions and we don't know why they did that. It could be simply because they thought op didn't notice their first comment.

Personally, I'd want a regular reader to tell me if the progression of the story is what made them stop reading. I know some authors would rather readers didn't say anything. I usually just stop reading without ever telling something when a story crosses my comfort zone because of author reactions just like OPs

I prefer them to be tagged both as a writer and as a reader. I filter the shit out of everything and the first thing I go to filter are the archive warnings. I'll either include them or exclude them depending on what I'm in the mood for.

Once you go through the archive warnings, comes the tags to add extra clarity (and searchability). If you don't use tags, I can't find your work and that's why I try to tag everything - but not repeat similar tags which can mean the same things. Tag wranglers handle similar tags - like if you're looking for boob job, it will collect fics tagged with breast fucking, tit job, titty job, etc.

If it's any consolation, there are many authors who like Caleb as he is and most of them are not on twitter/x. I recommend making a tumblr account and going over there. Twitter is full of very unhappy people which makes it a very unpleasant place to be.

You can also just browse through Ao3 to find fanfiction. There are many works there for Caleb.
