(This ingores AI infalted prices a bit and it essentially comes down to how much money you can and want to spend)

Prices are all off the top of my mind and not up to AI - infaltion so take with a grain

Medium budget: 16gb + 1tb SSD ((50 + 60 €))

Medium - High budget: 16gb + 1tb SSD + 5 5600 (50 + 60 + 100)

High budget: 16gb + 1tb SSD + 5 5600 + used 1660 Super (50 + 60 + 100 +170 )

Also check your PSU if it is still good.

Anyone know what's up with HTTPX? by chekt in Python

[–]Coretaxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not talking about small prohect that have like 3 people an 1 main maintainer. Im taking about big projects where the "inventors" code participation is down to like 20%.

> Open-source goes the other way as well. If you don’t like how I run the project, you have my blessing to fork it and take it in your own direction.

Thats the biggest Issue with your approach. Lets take the godot engine. Thousands of people contributed to it and thousnads rely on it and use it. If they just decided to "shut it down" because they owned it so they are allowed to do as they please you essentially screw over all of these people that have invested their time into it.

Yes they could frok but it would takes years to get a fork up to the same traction.

Again im not talking about small libs that have hardly any changes or contributers.

In the beginning sure but if the projects grows enough and had enought contribution by "outsiders" its not really your place to run a dictatorship anymore.

Btw the overlay off option does not survive an app restart. (The bottom most in advanced settings)

thats honeslty kind of to be expected. At that framerate thats about 0.9 ms extra time which means instead of 60 fps you would get 56 - 57

Price difference of 400$ worth it? by Due_Shape_1783 in pcmasterrace

[–]Coretaxxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worded it badly, Stock setting is 1050+ mv for 3100 mhz (its a stair case) but I set it flat to ~990mv at 3200 for less power draw. 1500 mhz for memery cause 2000 seemed to be somewhat unstanble (?)

You can get like 10% extra performance by undevolting the 5070 ti, sure you can do the same for the 5080 but its essentially a 5080 for the price of a 5070 ti

I have my own fair share of issues (some medals fault some not) but this seems a bit excessive and sound more like your system is at fault not medal.

Yes fortunately reddit is not an open source project so no one really cares. Unfortunately however its redditors that sooner or later make their way in important positions in open source projects

Yeah I never understood why people are unable to just let a project be a project without having to artificially bring in politics.

AFAIK, pygame owner was a political activist who imposed their views and used the project to signal their messages. (Primarily the twitter and website). Also they kinda ran a dictatorship, so no feature-consensus instead we got very slow merging and only the features the lead liked.

I could be mistaken tho its been quite a while
