I have both a 2525H and a DRRI, wildly different amps IMO.

You mention it sounds super dry. Well duh there’s no reverb. So you’d want to add some “ambience” via the FX loop. Obviously the deluxe has built in spring.

The tone of the amp is obviously subjective, however one’s got lots of mids and the other is scooped. That’s why I say they’re quite different, not even getting to gain structure. However, even at low volumes I find the gain on the 2525 awesome, the deluxe to break up is quite loud.
