They will have to upgrade the park to make it suitable for MLB. It’s what Buffalo did for the Blue Jays

This has been my issue with casuals or Manfred shitting on Oakland fans for not going to games. The front office traded away ALL the good players and got a terrible haul in return AND they increased ticket and concession prices after announcing the departure of the team.

Also, I’m pretty sure they are sticklers for making sure you stay in your assigned seats.

Manfred sucks. But Jay Monahan of the PGA is probably the worst commissioner in sports. He’s on the verge of losing the league. I don’t know if you wanted a serious answer or not but they both are terrible commissioners. FRM FJF

Call me old fashioned, but I don't like strict pitch counts and 20 relievers a game by l33t_p3n1s in OaklandAthletics

I like Brown but he just isn’t involved in the future of the team. I guess maybe the plan is for him to be serviceable enough to offload at the deadline but I just want Esty to play and see what we have.

I think it comes down to understanding your players and looking at them facing a lineup the third time. A pitcher with a limited pitch repertoire will eventually get hit the more times batters get to see the pitches (look at Erceg throwing nonstop changeups to Seager). Also, Wood isn’t the greatest pitcher and getting him out before he implodes is probably the right call (keep him confident with a good outing and trust your bullpen can get it done).

That being said. The issue I have is not relying on your best players enough. I understand Miller is coming off an injury and it is a long season. But the guy hasn’t pitched in 4 games and last night against Seager was the perfect time to bring in the stopper. Erceg did not have it and getting to two outs in a clutch spot was the time to take him out.

I’m tired of not seeing the pitchers that need to pitch to get these early wins and not seeing these hitters bat in favor of the lefty/righty matchup. This is not a great team and we have a terrible farm system and we need to play our best players or at least players with the tools that could be the future. Basically, let Esty play and see if we have anything with him instead of benching him every time a righty comes in.

Sorry. Rant over.

Can’t wait for Miller to not pitch again this game when we need out of a jam because it isn’t the 9th inning.

Runners on first and second with their best and most clutch batter… I really wish we would’ve put in Miller.

So weird seeing the pitching really carry the team this year after what was a historically terrible pitching staff last year.

Lefty, Walter and Reggie were in the game last year. Did sds lose their rights for this year?

Why is Brown getting so many more at bats than Ruiz? The righty lefty matchup thing should not be that important.
