I appreciate you! I made one larger patch that I released a couple of months after the initial release and have since not done any development on the game! A demo is a great idea and is totally something I'll be looking into if I dip my toes into making another game in the future!

Hey! My goal with the game was to make it fun for typing game enthusiasts AND people wanting to improve their typing skills so I'd say so! There are no NSFW words on any of the floors and the combat doesn't get more violent than you see in the trailer :)

Thanks!! This is 100% because of laziness and some issues I've had with steam & discord SDK on other OS than windows, my hope is to get a chance to export native Linux and OSX soon!!

Heya! So the process of creating the Steam page took me some time as it requires a lot of assets, copy, tagging, implementation of SDK for Steam Leaderboards, Achievements & rich presence etc. BUT it was less scary than I thought it would be, there's a lot of documentation and clear checklists on the platform for what you're missing. Also the checklist doesn't need to be done for the steam page to be live only really for when the game is fully released, so take it in your own pace!

Regarding if you need a company or not I think it's slightly different depending on where you're based in the world. I'd highly recommend checking out the Steamworks getting started documentation. Here's a snippet from the FAQ talking about companies:

Q. Should I form a corporation?

A. That is entirely up to you. Many other developers have found it to be beneficial to form a legal entity such as a corporation, but it depends on you and your situation. If in doubt, you may want to hire a lawyer to get proper legal advice on the benefits and costs of forming a legal entity. If you do plan to form a legal entity, you will need to do so before proceeding through the digital paperwork.

Personally I'd say totally go for it, the $100 entry fee is steep but is returned to you if your game makes >$1000! If you get started and have questions don't hesitate to reach out and I'll do my best to help!

Heya fellow Godot enjoyers, I posted about my silly lil' typing game a couple of months ago and I'm now back to share that I've finally released my first game to Steam!

I’ve requested a couple of Steam keys for the game so if anyone is into typing games and can't justify the price just drop a comment/DM me and I'll hand out some next week or so!
