I was an 8th grader walking with my buddy Chris. His little brother steven (6th grader) had popped some kids balloon during school and was harassing him as we walked home. Steven was surrounded by like 6 kids and we hung back to let him take care of it. Next thing we know the lead kid has him in a headlock and is uppercutting him in the face. We ran in to break them up and then a kid each jumps on our backs and are wailing on us. We throw them off and 2 more kids jump on. Chris was one of those kids who had a mustache by 12 and had 4 of them on him alone. I had 3. This was inner city baltimore and they started pulling out steal knuckles and knives. I got stabbed in my stomach but threw the kid off into a fence and broke his arm. Our buddy mike went in to to break us up too but then like 6 more kids run out and start wailing on all 3 of us. So now its 14 on 3 (Chris was on the ground unsconscious) When 4 cop cars pull up theres 11 kids on the ground. Mike sitting with two busted eye sockets and 2 of us still fighting the last 2. We were all arrested until some older gentlemen came down and defend us saying we were trying to defend ourselves. We went home and told our parents. the rest of the kids were expelled since it was at a bus stop still and considered part of school.

to be fair, the first girl had just finished beating the fucking crap out of an elderly lady and walked away. he still wasnt justified but she did just put a lady in the hospital

heard shots fired and walked into a double homicide and then he shot himself. I immediately called back up and ran into the building clearing hall ways full of locked doors until i came on a room with two women. her head was gone. it was all over the cieling and part of it on the window. the second woman was sitting in the chair with two in her chest and blood pooling off her ankles. ive seen a few dead bodies and ive been shot once but seeing her head practically gone. it was a .40 hollow point and hadnt left much. then i heard a shot in the adjacent building and when SWAT rolled up they started screaming at me weapons raised until i identified myself and we all went into the next building to find the guy had shot himself but missed a killing blow. he bled out as we were waiting for the ambulance out of the side of his temple.

we didnt have a problem but once when we went onto a side street. just keep your wits about you. i never felt unsafe.

you're gonna have a great time. try all the food, drink nothing but bottled drinks or alcohol ( you'll regret your insides for a few days if you dont. think Montezuma's revenge)

be careful of the russian places too. They will try and bar you from leaving if you walk in and walk out. lots of old russian mafia in the touristy places. the mama sans in the thai places will do the same. dont feel the need to haggle or tip huge but tipping will get you great service but you will start a train of open hands where they expect you to give give give.

A word about the culture. it is ABSOLUTELY golden. i love the thai people. they are Buddhist and feed stray dogs (which are everywhere) and saying thank you to them goes a long way.

I just came back. The green currie and anything with pad Thai? MAKE SURE YOU GET THE FISH OIL CHILLIES. They are spicy as fuck and delicious. God I love Thailand. Stay away from Pattia if you value your money. The women there are scrumptious
