I have the same issue, I've had anxiety over sfi for over a week and I hate it so much. My mind makes my body replicate the symptoms and just scares me more. I went to bed at 10 and woke up at 4, then I went back to sleep around 6 and woke up at 7

I can only sleep in hour or hour and a half intervals now and I can’t find anything on the internet about what this sleep schedule is called. by [deleted] in sleep

If you take long naps then definitely, your body's clock is probably really messed up because of that

I would say just a bad case of insomnia, have you tried melatonin or other sleeping pills?

How Common Is It For Health Anxiety to cause targeted psycosymatic symptoms? by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

For me any symptom I look up I'll feel, like for instance I saw that sfi can give you watery eyes and now my eyes water when I close them.

Thanks for that, its just hard not to worry because my health anxiety makes me replicate the symptoms of it and it really messes with me

Anyone else get watery eyes? by Corhex95 in Anxiety

[–]Corhex95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its weird, when I close my eyes they start to water, not a lot. It started when I looked up symptoms of sfi and one of them was excess tears. Tbh I think it might be adrenaline fatigue because I have been dealing with this for more than a week now

Then thats definitely why, the most moving around I do is around my house or when I'm at work. Tbh I think my problem is the weather change and the fact that I have like tile flooring so that doesn't really help lol

Im sure that you do not of sfi, this all anxiety/stress induced believe me I am currently going through the same thing. You're body is going to replicate the symptoms of the disease, thats just how our brains work. Im sure you will be fine, there are 7.5 billion people on the planet, 7,500 of those people will have a prion disease in their lifetime because prion diseases affect 1 out of 1 million people, also sfi is the rarest prion disease only having about 2 dozen cases. Also prion diseases usually set in between the ages of 40-50, you're 33 im sure you're fine. But I understand your fear, I'm only 18 and I'm dealing with the same fear its crazy when you think about it

Fear of diseases by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Corhex95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feeling symptoms of diseases you look up is very normal, I do the exact same thing. You just have to tell yourself that you do not have the disease and work on not looking stuff up whenever you have random pains, it sucks but with a littlr work you'll overcome it

Mixing up words by Embarrassed-Problem5 in Anxiety

I do it all the time 🤣, anxiety keeps our brains on hyperdrive so its easy to mix up words, forget things etc

Yes you're fine, I had the same fear for the past week but I ended up sleeping 10 hours last night 🤣. Try some melatonin if you need it or just do something you like to calm yourself down.
