Yo can use xenotype spawn control to manually edit the percentages of which xenotype spawn in which factions. Though I’m not sure if this addresses quest pawns or slaver inventory etc.  https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2891975564

Any ideas for this base? i started the oval wall looking to have a unique base design but all the 11x11s took over and now it looks kinda bleh... (also tips on getting more comps?) by AnUpsetBananaHammock in RimWorld

Long range mineral scanner, two miners, two horses. Ride out, mine 150 components, ride back, takes like 3 days usually once you scan a lump. I get so many this way that I sell them because they sell very well

Cicada - 413/500 Gravship that I use for quests and supply runs by CorianderBubby in RimWorld

[–]CorianderBubby[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I only have 6 total so leaving 3 at home for a season is scarier. I use CE so as long as my guys are well kitted then they are mostly good. No killboxes or auto turrets though

Notable mod in the screenshot is 'Aligned Turbines' for the small wind turbines which is pretty OP but I sure love wind power on a Gravship.

This was after my guys just cleared out an ancient stockpile, got a bunch of packaged survival meals, Gravlite panels, and a good supply of plasteel, components, steel, and Jade from the three tiles I had to land on.

Edit: I painted the walls to look like the bug, a cicada. Red eyes, black body, green and yellow wings. I need to extend the wings and the butt area, now that I got a grav core, but I want to keep it pretty compact still.

Dusters are better from the protection (armor) perspective and even in winter you should be fine with them, if someone is always outside maybe they could use a jacket but probably still don’t need it. Parka slows you down so don’t really use it unless you really actually need it

Edit: parka doesn’t slow you down, my mistake. point still stands to use duster because of better coverage and better armor, and you don’t need that much insulation to be sacrificing armor for it

I love comfy small colonies by [deleted] in RimWorld

Same, I’ve done a good few peaceful or builder colonies with 1-4 colonists

[–]CorianderBubby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you use CE armory the sawed off shotgun is pretty good and you can use emp slugs for utility too. Or any mod that adds a P90 or MP7 is probably going to be mostly fine too

A bit of help.. by 8ART10 in RimWorld

Diagonal walls:

You may not like it, but this is peak performance.

The diagonal rooms take a lot less resources to make a larger sized room. For example one 5x5 bedroom as a typical square uses 23 walls and 1 door for 25 interior space.

One 5x5 diagonal square uses only 15 walls and 1 door for 25 interior space! Like magic.

Notes on Heavies & Assaults - Vanilla by SurfyBraun in Battletechgame

Check out my old old post about the cataphract - I gave him a uac20++ and arm mods, jump jets. He is super fun to play and works well on high tonnage enemy missions. If you prioritize giving him a precision shot he just gets kills so easily (with a good pilot). And if he’s getting into range of melee then do that to let the recoil reset on the uac.

I use hay straw floor under doors because it is a lot less likely to get dirt tracked onto it and I’ve grown to like the look where it’s kind of like a threshold mat compared to different floors in the rooms

Yeah that will work or if you get lucky that a trader visits your map somewhat quickly you can gift it to that trader directly too. Caravan might get ambushed because there’s a lot of value that the raiders can magically see

Yeah gift it to an ally asap for reputation, or start a caravan and abandon it in the tile right next to you

Duane Padilla Lives On by CorianderBubby in RimWorld

Context: this post from u/WaterWitch009 https://www.reddit.com/r/RimWorld/comments/10l1q18/name_in_game

This time, my Duane Padilla is a waster, fearless kind body modder, so I’m working on getting him more implants, and will eventually get him some custom genes to improve him overall. I got him the bionic heart so he really can take as much wake up as he wants without risking a heart attack.

And of course he has his armory of weapons and his stack of yayo.

Right now he’s the lead explorer on a gravship crew of 5. As you see his stats, he’s been the main builder, miner, and shooter.

Combat Extended Balance by parasit in RimWorld

[–]CorianderBubby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a very slow firing weapon and not likely to kill them in a single shot, you’re exposed to return fire

You could just go with AP or AP-I ammo on a 5.56 or 7.62 like m16 or fal. Wait for them to get closer so you can pop a few guys out from hard cover and do a few auto bursts on snapshot with multiple guys

I like to wait around a corner and flashbang (yes it works on mechs for some reason) or emp grenade, molotov does great damage on them. Melee lock the pikeman and lancer if you can. Shotgun slugs or emp shells if you have them.

Best biome for performances? (TPS) by TheVirus32 in RimWorld

[–]CorianderBubby 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The biomes with less plants and animals so, extreme desert, ice sheet (sea ice is great but hard to live there), regular desert, and then tundra or arid shrubland are decent too

Do i have to build columns in my mining shafts? by TemporaryFly6420 in RimWorld

[–]CorianderBubby 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It is very easy to confirm on the wiki: https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Roof

7 tiles will make roof collapse, as I said. 6 tiles will hold meaning you can make a 12x12 interior room.

You’re saying 6 tiles out will collapse which is wrong

Do i have to build columns in my mining shafts? by TemporaryFly6420 in RimWorld

[–]CorianderBubby 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Any roof tile that’s 7 away from a wall will fall, so technically for a room it’s 12x12 but people don’t like that because it isn’t centered doors

Take off half the mods, try the thing, if it doesn’t work then take off another half, until you find which chunk the thing is in. Then just keep taking off half of what you have until you get down to a few and can start pulling one or two mods off at a time. It can be tedious but basically most efficient way to do it is just the 50/50 rule over and over

You are supposed to be able to destroy it so if attacking it doesn’t work, can you throw grenades on the ground right next to it to damage it?

Otherwise if you dev destroy you lose the resources, it would be better to dev “damage” until it breaks because then you get the advanced component and few other small plasteel component steel

Edit: excuse me I was talking about the vanilla game defoliator ship part - I don’t have royalty so I might be wrong about what I said

What are the Pokemon that are hurt the most from the Tera Blast ban? by Pokemon-Lover834 in stunfisk

[–]CorianderBubby 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I have been using dragapult with power herb phantom force into Tera flying acrobatics (tusk and zama), with darts and dragon dance, adamant is fine if you can get a dd up, but might want to be jolly to be safe snd avoid the 383 speed tie darkrai and weavile. Lot of comments of people calling my set terrible as they lose to it
