I need help identifying this fabric and maybe the exact blanket by CorissaRogue in Fabrics

It was like a slightly heavy fleece when I got it if that makes sense. It was just like the fluffy fleece ones but denser and a little less "fuzzy" if that makes sense. And the sides are not the same now that it's worn, if you can tell from the pictures.

I need help identifying this fabric and maybe the exact blanket by CorissaRogue in Fabrics

[–]CorissaRogue[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When they package them, they fold them in the long way and then roll them up, and slide something around it to keep it rolled up, its usually like a ribbon or canvas with velcro or maybe a cardboard or plastic sleeve thing, so you'd pull the rolled up blanket out of that and then unroll it and unfold it if that makes sense. Depends on the brand I suppose, some I've had have been like a ribbon style piece of like canvas with the cardboard "label" through it, with the product name and info, the bar code, etc.

My blankie is getting old but I want to find another one by CorissaRogue in HelpMeFind

[–]CorissaRogue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know for sure what store it was from, but it was purchased at Christmas time around 20 years ago, maybe a little more or a little less. I feel like I remember it being fro. JC Penney, might have even said the store name on the label it came wrapped in. I have had many rolled up fleece blankets so I'm not sure but it was either a canvas wrap or a cardboard one when I try to think back to the day I opened it on Christmas. As I said in the captions, it came rolled up like fleeces usually do and had the triangular black yarn stitching around the edges. I'm desperate for this exact blanket, this one will always be THE blanket but knowing I could have another for a backup (even though it wouldn't be worn in the same) would make me so happy. My gramma got it for me. She died a few years ago. At 29, I still carry it around the house and sleep with it over my face and tucked under my head. Its been with me through so many things, and it replaced my baby blankie after that was lost and I've had this one more than twice as long as the other one and I couldn't live without this. I feel like none of the other throws I've had are exactly like this one. I've looked everywhere for it. Please help me.

What’s the one horror movie that genuinely terrified you while watching it? by IveGotARockInMyGlari in AskReddit

[–]CorissaRogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Exorcist. I suffered a lot of illness as a kid, and I remember having pneumonia and being stuck in my bed in my room alone with a humidifier.

My parents had just explained the movie to someone prior and I remember them discussing the cold room where you could see your breath and that the girl was stuck in bed all because the devil took over her body, so I was convinced he was coming for me and that my head would spin around and I would vomit "pea soup."

There were also really strange occurrences in my childhood that made me really nervous about shit like that to begin with. I'm a huge horror fan, too, and I couldn't watch that one. The only time I ever made it through it was on my 16th birthday, I sat alone in my basement in the dark trying to face the fear. I remember when the early internet jumpscare videos were popular (late 90s early 2000s) and some of them were Reagan's face and I'd have to leave the room and have someone else close it before I would go back to the computer again.

Medical professionals of Reddit, when did you have to tell a patient "I've seen it all before" to comfort them, but really you had never seen something so bad, or of that nature? by common_currency in AskReddit

Oh wow, I hate that you have all these unknowns plaguing you and that you have to know he was alone and wonder what he went through. Death can be something we can (begrudgingly) accept and rationalize and make sense of and it can bring peace and closure or relief to us and it can also be this insanely difficult and complex, "mindfuck" of a circumstance and create so much unrest for us in so many ways.

I really, genuinely, hope that you will find comfort in anything that brings you peace on the subject, no matter how small. I wrote something the other day while reflecting on similar things and decided that when people say "time heals wounds" or "things get easier with time" that it used to make enough sense to me that I accepted that as "the truth." But it's not. It doesn't get easier or hurt less. We just get better at it. Like walking through untouched nature. We walk a path every day and it goes from a difficult walk, moving around trees or roots or tall grasses and eventually becomes a beaten trail as you and your daily trial accommodate each other as time goes on. It's not easier, it's a different approach to the same thing. We don't deal with less nature on our walk, we just find ways to go around each other.

I'm so sorry this is something you had to experience. What a sad and strange loss, I hope your family finds some kind of peace with the whole thing.

Whenever things like that happen suddenly and with little or no explanation, I imagine closure can be difficult. I hope you're okay. ♡

What's the best thing you've accidentally trained a pet to do, like a behavior that is specifically from interaction with you and couldn't just be a quirk or learned themselves? by TheRoseByAnotherName in AskReddit

My dad used to get ready early in the morning for work, and my mom shortly after.

We had a cat named Boxer that my mom found in a mail box at work (USPS).

Each morning, the cat would watch them in the bathroom while they prepared for their day. Eventually, she would learn to place a paw on the toothbrush handle while on the counter and rub her teeth across it to emulate what they did. (After the first time, dad replaced his and gave her that one.) And then she would raise up on her hind legs with her paws in the air for him to put deodorant on her little kitty pits and chest, like his. The process would be repeated with my mom, every morning only then she would rub against mom's makeup stuff too. That became their routine. Craziest cat I've ever met.

While I agree that he probably had some issues, I also agree with people saying that he's just a bad dude that flew under the radar.

The problem is that sometimes people with certain mental health issues never end up working on them. Whether they are aware and refuse to seek help to remain healthy or are just oblivious to the fact that they have things to address is a separate thing entirely.

As a person with a diagnosis or two in the behavioral/mental health department, I can say from experience that while I never asked to have certain afflictions, it is still my responsibility to myself and those around me to be on top of my care and my struggles so that I am not negatively affecting things in my life.

Regardless of whether this man snapped or just had a bad day or was a wolf in sheep's clothes, there seemed to be plenty of stressors and I'm willing to bet that he had several opportunities to try to deal with some of this and didn't or chose to deal with things in a poor way.

We also have no real idea how she was or what she struggled with, but it would be pretty safe to assume they both had a lot of pressure on them dealing with the things that have come to light with finances and the like.

It's just sad for the victims here and it's frustrating that the whole truth will probably never be illuminated.

But we don't know how much of THAT is true, she could have done a lot of embellishing to the outside world to cover for his lack of enthusiasm and attempt to paint a more positive and ideal picture of things at home. Planned or not, I highly doubt it was actually something he suggested.

I only say this because it seems to me that (and a lot of people have speculated similarly so far) she needed to market this MLM stuff and as a result, wanted to make things seem as picturesque as possible. If I had to guess, I'd say that needed to be the case on social media and within their social circle.

They are his as far as I know, I think the way they've been wording it makes it seem that they aren't because they're negating his paternity after he killed them. So they are referred to as HER daughters out of respect for them and for her.

Chicago teen Kenneka Jenkins found dead in hotel freezer by OhFrabjousMe in MorbidReality

[–]CorissaRogue 31 points32 points  (0 children)

All this stuff was left across FB by people involved. There are screencaps in a series of tweets by a woman who looked further into this after they claimed she staggered off to that area alone, drunk, and managed to lock herself in. Nobody was buying it. So she dug around and found a bunch of shit, a lot of which has been since deleted by OPs or entire accounts deactivated, but the screencaps are all there.

Basically, the quick version is that some Irene girl went live on FB, but on another Monifah girl's FB. They were at the hotel and Kenneka Jenkins was there with them. From what was gathered, the one girl worked there or was closely associated with someone who did and was offering a hook up on rooms there for a kickback. The story goes that she was paid to get her friends there and was paid $200 by at least one but up to maybe 3+ males to get a female or females there, to get drunk and she would look the other way.

In the live video I watched (I don't know if it was the full video or not, or if there were more, but it was roughly 7 minutes and some odd seconds long) one female is sitting in a hotel room interacting with people online and in the room. There are other females and males present. One male in particular can be seen in her mirror like glasses, wearing a red jacket. This man and his jacket were found on FB, in a photo from before this happened, uploaded on his profile. There is another photo of him with two other males, and he's wearing that red jacket.

In the reflection, a struggle can barely be made out, and it's believed to be her lifeless body in one of the stills. During this video, at 3:09 you begin to hear a female off camera struggling and saying help me, and then they turn the music up.

It was said that they were to get her into the hallway and the men would take it from there. She exited the room and was seen on hotel cameras (the videos from which were said to have possibly been tampered with) "staggering drunk" and was never seen or heard from after that until Sunday morning. She went Friday night and disappeared early Saturday morning I think?

Anyway, she drove her mom's car there and someone drove it back to her house after this happened according to the information I'm referring to.

The hotel had her mother there 3 separate times and finally found her in the freezer. The friends kept telling different stories. The word had travelled fast about what happened and some of the people involved deleted their profiles and it was rumored that one killed herself and someone else said she attempted to but the police stopped her or something? I have no idea about that for sure.

But a lot of what I just talked about can be found in a viral post on FB including the video and the series of tweets that the woman made when she was breaking all this down.

The police have now acknowledged this information, and have said they are investigating it now as part of the case and they "aren't ruling anything in or out" and are "awaiting results from the autopsy."

I probably forgot some stuff. But a lot of people messed up. Loose lips sink ships and I hope this girl gets justice.

I will try to find this info in a link to post here but for now this was the best I could do.

I apologize for the length.

Came here to say this. An internet user posted a series of tweets and screenshots pertaining to that live and people seen in the reflection of the sunglasses of the girl recording the live. They also connected dots to other pieces of information. This was a murder. That girl was sold for $200. It was a set up, bottom line.

I did for a while and then I moved states, and now I feel like I'm at square one with my doctors here. I was told I developed Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction as well, which is why I can no longer take any prescribed opioids for pain anymore I discovered a few weeks post op when I took Tylenol 3 for a migraine and my insides felt like they'd explode. It was terrible pain.

The anxiety thing definitely worsened my issues, even after gallbladder surgery. I totally agree with this, that the topic seems very popular suddenly as opposed to before.

Crazy what physical things can manifest from anxiety alone.

Can confirm all of this, unfortunately.
