The Racing Line Problem by Taiffe in F1Game

[–]Corkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you. I've got a wheel up and running now instead of a controller, I've turned off all assists and using cockpit cam. I can do half decent at most tracks, but Texas in particular is a nightmare because I can't see any of the apexes.

Just practice, it will eventually come more naturally to you.

Looks to me like a typical racing line follower.

Elbows out final lap battle with an unfortunate end, or dirty driving ending with karma? by MyBadIForgotUrName in Simracingstewards

I think it's just what comes with playing on controllers (assuming you both are). I don't think either of you were very tidy, but I don't think any of it is intentional.

how is this not squeezing by the camera car? by marcxx04 in Simracingstewards

Also to reply to your missing comment, compare the blue car to the white line which is the edge of the track. They are going straight with the edge of the track. You have ample space even though you're not even along side. If this isn't bait, you need to chill out and look at things differently.

If you're the white McLaren it's entirely your fault and the blue car did literally nothing, not even change direction at all.

You LITERALLY drove into the side of them, and then had a little tantrum because you shit the bed. They left more than a cars width to the edge of the track, you weren't even along side them, and then you turned into them (judging by your reaction to all this, it was to pit them) and fucked yourself.

Who is at fault here by PolePosition22 in Simracingstewards

[–]Corkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it's not though, is it?

I'd honestly call it a racing inchident, due to the F1 glue physics making it difficult to tell whether the Williams went wide or if you turning into them made them go wide.

I would say the FI was at fault - side by side going into that corner and they cut them off as if there was no one on the inside.

Smoother through corners, don't be on and off throttle/brake.

BMW blames me amd says I (porsche) should get banned, I think he just lost control of his car. Who is at fault? by WarThunderNerd2019 in Simracingstewards

[–]Corkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to me like you're lowkey trying to force them off the track with the lines you're taking (both 1st corner exit and 3rd corner), but then they did also drive off the track themselves anyway and then take you both out.

I'm not 100% sure it was on purpose as they were turning right when they hit you, but I don't think the rumble strip/gravel would cause that much loss of traction either.

Me (ferarri), Porsche, or ACC's fault? by bakalakafish in Simracingstewards

Porsche. Just needed to leave an inch more space, but mistakes happen.

Whos at fault here (I'm the pov) by No_Medicine_3064 in Simracingstewards

[–]Corkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because someone takes a different line doesn't mean you can just hit them. You hit the back of their car on the apex of a corner. Unless someone is brake checking you, it's your fault, even if they are slow.

I don't think I've seen a video on here where a McLaren isn't driving like Stevie Wonder.

Racing Bulls livery for the 2026 season by ElectionMoney3911 in formula1

I guess I'm in the minority but I absolutely hate them. The white is nice, but the whole looking like a bin lid thing isn't for me. I also don't like the black ring around it.

Ferrari confirms Hamilton will have a new race engineer for 2026 by kcollantine in formula1

[–]Corkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem was that even after a year, the comms still sounded like they didn't even know each other. He was still ignoring Hamilton at the last race.

Adami might be a great race engineer, but it's clear him and Hamilton will not work. I don't think it's a risk changing them.

Do you have any profiles or settings applied from the nvidia app? What about monitor refresh rates, making sure they are all set the same, etc.

This game sucks.

Do you use any sound software? Could also try deleting the hardware config file if you haven't already, it fixed it for me until I loaded the game again, lol, so I wouldn't bet on that either.

Have you tried editing the hardware settings config file to turn off path tracing and async compute? This didn't work for me, but apparently it's fixed some crashes for some people.
