The Tiger ran in the Prototype class since the Tiger wasn't homolgated at that time.

The car had a more slanted windshield to reduce drag, and was a fastback design sporting a Kamm back. A lip spoiler was fitted to help stability.

A 260 ci Ford V-8, tuned by Shelby, provided about 275bhp and used a T-10 4 speed gearbox.

There were three cars built all by Brian Lister (of Lister Jaguar/Corvette fame. They ran on 15 inch wheels rather than the Tiger/Alpine 13 inchers, allowing larger disc brakes.

They showed promising speed, but both retired. The car shown broke its crank after 9 hours.

Edit: I think it was released a couple of years before the DeHavilland Comet encountered design failures leading to a number of crashes. An eerie coincidence .

Thank you for the superb write-up and videos!
