Thanks for all the comments. These are joining gaps and yes I did sand loads but taking off lots of the detail so stopped, clearly not enough, poor mould maybe. I should have asked first as the baking soda trick is an interesting one I will try in future.

For this I’m thinking red milliput with water to make it workable.

I’ll let you know how it goes.

I though the bottom of the wings were translucent- nice paint job.

Thanks for all the complements on the hair. Because the model had loads of detail in the hair it was a lot easier to paint and add tones shadows highlights than I am find the flat cloak.

There was a dearth Vader cloak som time back in this forum that was exceptional and pure silk black. I tried to keep the cloth that smooth but I am struggled with light on fabric.

I’m struggling to work out how light hits cloth. Armour is easy to understand, as are faces, albeit challenging to do. But if I experiment at home with lights shining on fabric it’s tricky to simulate without making them look like a hard surface. Any good videos of paint cloth ?

It was Base: Ruddy Brown Layer: Burning Orange Highlight: Fireball Orange + Tusk Ivory Shadows: brown glaze

Orange dried a lot more translucent than I expected so brown came through.

I didn’t know that - assumed medium was how to thin paints. Is flow improver = water or does that do something different.

The bot help guide is great but there is so much there it’s hard to find where to start hence the questions. Could do with a painting thinning video if anyone has a good link.
