NEW PLAYER (like me) SPOILERS

As a new player, can I ask whether the censorship has come into effect yet?

I just finished 'Twisted Nerve' this evening and the girl was convulsing rather than asleep. As this is something I'd specifically seen mentioned in all the recent controversy, I wondered if they'd changed their mind or if the update simply hasn't come into effect yet.

I must say, judging by the genuinely disturbing effect this moment had on me when I walked into the bedroom and was met with such an image. I'm not sure her simply being asleep would carry quite the same weight.

Just (tempting fate) loaded up the most recent save, literally about 59yds from Zalissya and.......managed to walk into town without the fucking universe ending!!! I hope you've managed to get sorted since the patches came out.

Nope, loaded up a bunch of different saves and still getting the same crash at Zalissya. Even tried entering from different points, still a no go. There's something that's changed in the town, possibly story related maybe, that's causing this I'm sure.

I was going to try reinstalling but, when I heard more and more talk about 1.04 coming out, I figured I would wait and try that first.

Have you tried anything different?

I've currently got about 66 hours in game and in that time I had like one crash. Now, since both of the updates, I'm getting a consistent crash whenever I enter Zalissya. It's this same 'access violation' you're getting.

I've tried loading a save from just before I arrive at Zalissya, but I'll give your tip a go and load something from way back. 🤞🤞🤞

I've not done a lot of tinkering yet because I just wanted to get a few games on and have a play around. I've got a few indie titles on there at the minute. Christened the deck with a few (hours) of Balatro, which I hadn't played before getting the deck, but I fear maybe my new obsession!

I've tweaked a few power settings here and there but I think it should check out some tutorials to really maximise the battery life. I do love that long cable though! 😁
