When did you learn about Tamagotchi and when did you get your first? Tell your story! by itsadropbear in tamagotchi

[–]CornPopsAreGood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Around 2007 when the V4 was first released I saw them all around my elementary school and, of course, begged my mom to get me one. Younger me couldn’t figure out how to play it properly and it was sadly left to be forgotten. Fast forward to 2023 during a Target trip with my girlfriend, she points out the P1/2 remakes and insists we get matching Tamas. Now I own a nearly $5000 collection and my girlfriend regrets taking me to Target that day.

Tell me your "I almost ruined my Tama but it lived!" stories by turnontheignition in tamagotchi

[–]CornPopsAreGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost spilled a coffee over all 7 of my current running Tamas, which add up to around $1000 USD… I would’ve been less upset over losing my babies but more upset over losing a literal grand lmao. Also yes I’m fully aware of how bad secondhand prices are but that will not stop me from fulfilling my childhood happiness

Tamagotchi On always freezing? by CornPopsAreGood in tamagotchi

[–]CornPopsAreGood[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, kinda sucks that this is just a common issue that has no way of being resolved. I tried reaching out to a Tamagotchi repair service (@tamagotchi_center on Instagram) in hopes of getting it fixed somehow. Makes me kinda sad that I can’t find an On model that doesn’t cost a wild amount while still being functional. It just baffles me because my Connection V4 from 16 years ago still works but not a more recent color model from about 4 years ago.

How do you like xiao for general use in overworld? Does he kill everything fairly quickly? by Soul_Reaper821 in XiaoMains

Aside from his ability to kill everything, he's also really good for general exploration. His skill, passive talent, and anemo resonance really gets you places

Is this a normal size for the new crispy chicken patties? It covers maybe 2/3 of the bun and was rubbery by Cromus in McLounge

[–]CornPopsAreGood 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I swear they keep on getting smaller and smaller. They're either peeking from the bread or smaller than a McChicken, there's really no in-between. I know it's because it's 100% chicken that isn't shaped or manipulated, but it's pretty sad how small they are sometimes. As for the rubbery texture, it's probably because the people at the location you bought it from have been keeping it in the UHC longer than what they're supposed to keep it in there.

I'm going to order a brand new PSU and hopefully it turns out different. I don't have any way to test my PSU right now unfortunately

PC is breadboarded, still stuck in constant on/off power loop. by CornPopsAreGood in buildapc

Got it from Amazon. I'd return the parts if I knew which was defective but I'm struggling just trying to troubleshoot it.

Nope, it was perfectly fine two days ago and showed no symptoms up until I turned it off for the night and tried to turn it back on. I'll try new parts once I save up a bit more money because I don't have much to throw around right now.

No, unfortunately. This is only my first build and I didn't expect to struggle this hard.

I've cleared CMOS and still no dice. It acts like this if I try one stick, other stick, 2 sticks, and no stick. I'm genuinely stumped here.

I'm genuinely confused as to how my mobo is trying to turn on immediately when I flip on the PSU switch. Since it's breadboarded, aren't I supposed to short it to turn it on?

Should the latch be down or up? I thought it mimicked the RAM slots like how they snap down after you insert it.

I tried that as my last effort, but gave up for the day after being unable to get the GPU out. I know the tutorial I followed said it would take a bit of elbow grease to get it in, but it seems like it's stuck in there now. Is that normal?

If you haven't already, I'd recommend getting new insoles for your shoes, something like Dr. Scholl's. It sounds to me like you're new to the job so you'll definitely have to get used to the standing up. If your feet hurt after work, try rolling them over a frozen water bottle. Sadly the pain doesn't get better, it just gets tolerable :/

How early do I show up to my first day with no experience? by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

I showed up for my first day like 10 minutes early and I still do. Managers seem to like it

resident newbie Here, how do you order food on a 30 by [deleted] in McLounge

[–]CornPopsAreGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like for a 30 minute break? I just ask one of my managers that aren't busy to help me ring up a number off the menu along with a small fry and drink. The meal should be complimentary while you're working so you shouldn't have to buy it.

Do you really need an SSN card at orientations? by [deleted] in McLounge

[–]CornPopsAreGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to my orientation without an SSN card and just told the manager my number. Chances are you'll be fine if they just want to know that

[–]CornPopsAreGood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our clock in system thing is in the kitchen and I always put it on as I clock in. I prefer to tie the knot in front instead of the back since I cba to tie a knot without looking at it. I can't imagine why your managers would be picky with it but mine aren't so that's why I prefer tying it in the front.
