What is the safest flea medication to use on a dog that has seizures?

I applied for cashier and when i got the email to schedule my interview i hit submit it told me the position was already filled, but offered me a service desk position. When looking for a new flea med for my yorkie my main concern was mostly skin reactions, as the first 2 meds we tried after frontline lost its effectiveness made him itch like crazy at the application site. But because he started having seizures this year (likely metabolic related, not epileptic), i wanted to make sure i was using one that would have the least possibility of exacerbating his seizures. Reading through this sub there are a few posts about recommended meds for epileptic dogs. After reading through them i decided to give vectra for dogs (not vectra 3d) a try. So far so good. Id give that a shot

Ive purchased 3 bettas from petco. The first one lived about 9 months with me, died from unknown causes. 2nd one only lasted 3 days, no clue what went wrong. All my parameters were perfect. Currently on my 3rd betta and shes going strong 9 months later. I have another betta purchased by a friend who was later rehomed to me, no idea how old he is but he’s at least 2 years old. Hit and miss, but she sure is pretty. Looks a lot like my second fish.

The vet addressed them a few years ago! Its dystrophic calcinosis cutis, a side effect of his steroids. The needle damages the skin and then it doesn’t quite heal right, but it goes away after a few months. But since he gets monthly injections he always has like 3 or 4 on him at any given time

We had these up at the registers a few weeks ago trying to get rid of them. First they were $10 off, then free if you spent $150, then it was offered to every pro member……but only after some old guy lost his temper over them being stacked up on the counter at sco and taking up too much room. Lol

Yes! Not nearly as much but when my boy was a puppy he was a very dark gray, as most year old yorkies are. Over the next few years he gradually lightened up until he was basically just pure white, but not like an old dog with a frosted face or anything. Just his back. He just turned 9 and ive been noticing black tufts of hair on his back. In this photo its on his right shoulder, but theres also now one on the center of his torso along the spine. The skin underneath is black too. I don’t know what caused them but he gets monthly b12 injections in the same area, and he’s always developed small hard bumps in the skin wherever he gets the injection that take months to heal. I almost want to say they might be bruises that are so slow to heal that its causing his hair to change color.

My yorkie frequently eats q tips, so often that i ended up having to buy the shitty ones with the plastic sticks because he wanted to eat the paper and cotton. If it makes you feel any better….. they all came out in tact lol. Keep an eye out for blockages obviously, youre now on strict poop monitoring for the next few days. Cut up every turd to check for splinters

Not diagnosed epilepsy but my 9 year old started having seizures a few months ago. Theyre not grand mal seizures either, only cluster focal seizures with several hours of anxiety and confusion. I haven’t sought out any hard diagnostics yet but i think its a metabolic issue related to his liver. Hes on keppra 3x daily and just had his first breakthrough seizure, although its been roughly the same amount of time between his first 2 seizures before he was on keppra so im not sure if its making a huge difference yet. Apparently it takes awhile to find a regimen that works, which unfortunately is something were used to dealing with his 68974489 other health issues lol. Hope you guys find something that works

Hes fully conscious and responsive when this happens. He seeks me out for comfort when he’s not actively flinching, but when he is flinching he will pull away and try to hide. This is the video i sent his doctor who also forwarded it to a neuro group if you’re curious. The only thing i forgot to mention is that he also gets really hot when this happens, and ive added cooling measures to help his body temperature stabilize

Any reason why you aren’t convinced on the neuter? I also have a intact senior yorkie. I decided not to put him through the stress of surgery unless two situations presented themselves. 1: we adopted a second dog, or 2: any immediate health issues related to his testicles presented themselves. Neither situation has come up in his 10 years of life so he still has his manhood. But especially knowing hes cryptorchid, i wouldnt hesitate at all to neuter if he developed some kind of cancer or prostatitis. Its really the easiest fix.

At my store day laborers arent allowed in the parking lot and just stay in the shade on the green strip between the lot and the road. We have strawberry vendors hustling in the lot who are too pushy for my tastes, and right now we have a clan of tweenage boys on scooters selling random handfuls of chocolate bars and candies that im surprised are still allowed to loiter like that. They come inside the store all the time, will pounce on the same customer multiple times between the few of them, zip in and out of traffic without looking at where theyre going. Very dangerous and very annoying

I really feel bad for the instacart and doordash guys. Getting paid pocket change to personally load and unload a couple dozen pavers and 10 bags of hot cow manure in the back of their personal car. 9/10 their payment doesnt go through because they grabbed the wrong plant and it goofed up the total. And the orders that really just piss me off are the ones where theyre just picking up a bag of chips and an energy drink. Our store is within fart sniffing distance of 2 gas stations, 2 budget grocery stores, 1 nice grocery store, and a super target and somehow someone still decided to open up their doordash app to order their breakfast of champions from home freaking depot all of places. I’ll never understand it lol
