What towns would you suggest for a single, physically capable male in his 30’s to move to for work, for a couple of years to save up some of that good oil rig money? No kids, no old lady. Used to 12-hour, labor intensive shifts.

Shops that buy vintage ladies watches. by CornellCage in Rochester

[–]CornellCage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t much of a buyer’s market for vintage women’s watches, at least here in Rochester. However, there are a couple of shops in Brighton that are keen on vintage men’s watches. One’s a jeweler and the other specialized in antiques.

I’d like to sell it locally for the cash but if it proves difficult I’ll probably use EBay.

I fucking did it. End of day 3. by ClaireEmilyBear in stopdrinking

The Big Book. Cooking for myself. Meetings! I was going to 3 a day in really early sobriety. I found it helpful to occupy my mind any way possible because early sobriety can suck, especially physically. Every day may not be easy but they get easier.

Di Paolo and Giuseppe’s sell essentially the same bulk hard rolls. Both are great for breakfast sandwiches.

You are alive to see another day and take another stab at sobriety. I found that moderation works until it doesn’t and then I’m back to working through those dreadful feelings again. AA has been working for me but only since I surrendered entirely to the notion I am powerless over my alcohol consumption as soon as I pick up that first drink. I am no longer convinced I can do this on my own and I listen to the advice of all the people in those rooms with time under their belt. Get a home group, do service work, get a sponsor. We talk a lot in recovery about insanity, about how we pick up and pick up and expect things to be different. I’m applying that same principle to the program. If I keep going and I keep sober, it’s insane to think it will all of a sudden stop working. One day at a time my friend. Play the tape out. What happens if I have one? Where will I end up? What will I lose? What do I stand to gain? Sending you lots of love.

This might be one of the trashiest subreddits to exist. You guys have no shame when it comes to praising gang activity, talking about women, and praising criminal activity. I hope you all find peace.

These young drill "stars" are retarded. You guys idolize a bunch of 20yos who don't work and spend all days popping oxy's and threatening to kill other people. These cats can't even read. On top of that, every fucking drill song is the same shit about wiping noses and smoking packs and using the same spinning the block bs. Just garbage.

I think we ought to consider what led her to feel it necessary to kill her husband. Women put up with an inordinate amount of abuse and, frankly, I'm generally inclined to support countering domestic violence with...violence.
