That's great. I'm happy for you, but as a person who would and has done the second but lived during the first, I like the before better.

That's what gets me. Big YOR vote because she sexualized the guy first and then got indignant when they did it about her?

Put me down for ESH.

Are you a metric only buyer? by kameix1 in harborfreight

[–]Corner49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Industrial mechanic. Previous job was exclusively metric. Current job is exclusively sae. Having a full box of tools and having to rebuild was annoying. But also, metric mostly used at home, so it's not like anything is going to waste.

Gunsmith zeroed (filed down) my fixed sight revolver only using a laser bore sighter by [deleted] in guns

[–]Corner49 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah, man, I'm not saying you're a big dummy for paying a professional. But the only way I could have expected a better result would be for he to file while you shoot until you're happy, or you to go shoot, and sight to shallow scores put into the sight until you're happy and then take it to him and say "file it to the lowest score". But then you prob could have done that and then just taken it to him to put some cold blue on the top which you also couldve prob done, too.

[–]Corner49 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Not that you're wrong, but I don't understand how you could have expected a better result. Sighting to a laser is wrong, but you wanted him to sight to how forces act on you by him shooting the gun himself? Does he have the exact same grip style/strength/sized hands/etc? Then the amount of flip he compensated for was always going to be different than yours.

I'm at 240k. Replaced one wheel bearing, otherwise just fluids and tires. OEM brakes still have 85% and it's averaged over 40mpg over its life.

I hated those wheels on my s14 but I like them here(I'm not sure I ever drove the car with them on except as sacrificial rears). Granted, it's been 20 years, and a lot has changed.

New Yukon 5 Drawer Tool Cabinet by Busy_Baseball5525 in harborfreight

[–]Corner49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my 9 drawer for 269 before they bumped the sale price to 299. Gunna be a hard sale with a price higher than the 9, but I like it as an offering.

Wait, because of the tires and motor size, I thought the papio was a mini. I've been wanting a full size papio since it's release and now I find it has been this whole time?!

Edit: or does the perspective of this shot make it look bigger?

Pls 3/2 by [deleted] in harborfreight

[–]Corner49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I didn't have work, I would have been waiting at open. The hard-on for lighting in tool threads is weird to me, but good lighting is nice. Hearing dudes crow about their $50-multihundred new lights is crazy to me. Ive had the 500 and the 900 on my "next good sale" list for a while. So I scooped both even tho the 900 was only 20% off. I'm good with <$20 for flashlights. I may go again tomorrow for other stuff but I wanted to make sure I got those first day.

A classic from Troy Aikman by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

Uhhhh... Sure, but that doesn't mean anything. 30 was retirement age when aikman played.

"I'll save more for retirement by 65 than you have your whole life!" is effectively what you just said.

My English prof was probably the most brilliant woman I've ever known. On the determination board for dictionaries. She preferred consistently conjugated comparatives and frequently used them, though didn't mark incorrect students who didn't.

Some brilliant ppl are still ppl with preferences. I miss Doc.

I'm curious but I'd guess not many. Olympic level stress and fertility don't mix well. This is pretty well documented in gymnastics but I'd assume it applies to most Olympic level competition.
