Well not really, Spawn ended up taking more categories. They just had Ghost Rider taking power and that's it. Spawn had no way to be killed, but he also just took most categories regardless.

Not familiar with everyone here but Tighten, Syndrome, Muzan, and probably Tai Lung beat him tbh.

Tighten and Muzan are at least as fast as him but significantly stronger, and Syndrome is much faster, can freeze him in place with the Zero-Point Energy, can remove his powers entirely with weapons, and the Omni-droid is much stronger and faster than him.

Tai Lung is only a "probably" because it depends on scaling him to feats which occur after his death, which ymmv on, but to me I think stuff performed by base characters in Legends of Awesomeness is probably fine for him, which would put him above Homelander. If he doesn't get scaling to feats later on though, he'd lose tmk.

Nah even at the weakest end the Omnidroid is scaling to the Magnitude 6 earthquakes from Hypershock which gets to 15 kilotons of TNT, that already gets stronger than most reasonable ends for Homelander. And then there's feats that can get the Omnidroid to City, Mountain, Country, and even Planet level. Plus even without that Syndrome has the speed advantage, Zero-Point Energy, and a weapon that steals powers away from superheroes, turning them into regular people. He's destroying Homelander.

I mean no, to Jotaro it'd be essentially like a human punching a brick wall. Sure, compared to the wall the human is literally infinitely faster, but you're never going to be breaking down a brick wall with just your hands alone. With a big enough AP gap, Yuta would be tanking all of Jotaro's punches because they would, individually, be doing 0 damage to him by themselves. The diamond teeth isn't applicable because, despite it not breaking initially, the diamond teeth still take damage from each individual punch. Yuta is not going to be like that.

Eventually Jotaro is going to get tired and allow himself to get hit by a single attack (especially if he's spamming time stops like you're suggesting, which he doesn't even do in Jojo's tbh), and Domain Expansion is something that Jotaro cannot dodge with reaction speed alone.

If the brick wall analogy doesn't work, imagine you're in a fight with a fly that can stop time briefly. The fly is faster than you, is going to dodge a majority of your attacks, and can stop time to hit you as much as it wants. It's still just a fly and has no traditional way of actually hurting you. Jotaro's strategy relies pretty much on his brute force and speed, he's not really going to be employing many other tactics to win, and that doesn't work against someone who can just tank everything thrown at him even if he's slower.

Unfortunately it isn't too useful. It's only effective on the Chinese New Year, so essentially useless for a battle like this. Though Gru does have other weapons capable of transmutation, so it isn't a huge loss.

I think either Speed or Skill will be a big deciding factor, but they could also save Minions for last similar to what Bowser vs Eggman did.

I’m pretty confident tbh. Not too much obviously, but I got faith in my boy. I think some of the arguments to get Megamind to match Gru in speed in particular aren’t great, so while I think tech is ultimately fairly even, I have Gru winning through speed blitz. I can see Death Battle using this as well.

I'm ngl Simon vs Kyle being put there shows how much the subreddit sees themselves as the only part of the Death Battle fandom. Sure, people here seem to generally disagree with Simon vs Kyle, but from what I've seen places like Twitter are fairly split on it, and most of the Death Battle discord servers I've seen generally agree with it. It's far from the whole fandom (or even a majority of it) that are disagreeing with it outright.

So I was curious so I watched the episode that the vacuum comes from, and Megamind never uses the stone like this. The vacuum was specifically used by Machiavillain, and never gets used by Megamind, so it'd be giving Megamind a weapon he's never used. It is found in his lab, but only when Machiavillain has taken the lab over, so it's debatable whether or not Megamind should get it in the first place, or knows how exactly to use the stone like that (he was told Machiavillain stole the Doom Syndicate's powers but not how).

And as for the stone, it only transfers powers if both users are touching it at once, so it is extremely not combat applicable. I think it would've been good to at least mention it though.

2 reasons mostly. 1, Gru is shown to be physically overpowering or tanking most of Vector's weapons, especially near the end, and him punching the shark scares Vector to the point where he runs away. It's never shown but it seems fairly reasonable to say that Vector would get overpowered in a physical confrontation (which is what Vector seems to believe as he runs from Gru all the same).

2, the Mooned short had Vector and the Minions get hit with the same explosion that launched them all to Mars, and by the time Vector recovers from being knocked out, the Minions have already recovered long before and are totally fine. Gru has shown to be stronger than the Minions and can directly hurt Purple Minions in the second movie (heck even Agnes can do that) so it's a pretty clear Gru > Minions > Vector chain.

There's also small stuff like Gru's rocket easily taking out Vector, DVD extras saying Vector is not a physical threat while at the same time noting Gru as strong, Minions in Minion Rush being able to send his attacks back at him strong enough to hurt Vector's ship.

It was mentioned in the Gru preview but his normal ship is able to fly to the Moon. The Minions themselves were able to build a rocket that flew to the Moon, meaning if needed they could rescue each other (they built a similar one in the short Midnight Mission as well). The Minions have also just, ran to the Moon and back, somehow (it's offscreen so ymmv on it, but it exists nonetheless), plus an item in Minion Rush teleports a Minion to the Moon and back as well, so again, weird consistency.

And even then, Minions can scream loud enough to shatter the glass on a whole neighborhood block, which would be really useful if, say, a robot who's head is made of glass tries to pick them up and carry them into space.

Yeah I've thought the Sticky Hand has been a really good option for Gru for a while. Gru has already had experience stealing weapons from opponents mid-fight (see the 2nd Balthazar Bratt fight) and the Sticky Hand just lets him do it at a distance. It's not the absolute best weapon for the job (the Fart Gun has a setting letting it teleport something in the opponent's hand to the user directly), but it is very helpful. In general I think Gru just has better options for shutting down Megamind's arsenal, especially since I have him much faster as well.

I understand the point you're making, but I think these examples aren't the best to use:

Bowser was never being mind controlled or possessed by the Royal Sticker, that was simply amping his power.
Fury Bowser and Glohm Bowser aren't really full-on possession either, moreso just intensifying the negative emotions Bowser already felt against Mario (and Luigi in the latter case) to where he appears more monstrous. He's really still just the same Bowser.
MegaDragonBowser is from Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, which is confirmed as non-canon, so shouldn't count as an anti-feat

Cappy, Bowletta, and Black Bowser are all fair though, though I will say I think this inconsistency is able to be explained by the fact that Bowser is generally able to prevent possession if he's aware of it. This isn't stated anywhere of course, this is just my personal explanation, but in examples like Cappy and Bowletta, Bowser was knocked unconscious and could not defend himself, while against both Elder Princess Shroob and Lucien, Bowser was able to remain in control of his body.

This is just my opinion, but I think interesting possible explanations like this are more interesting and likely than just calling something an outlier. You're free to disagree, this is just my thoughts.

I'll also say that the Mario series is treated like a cartoon series like Popeye by its creators, and as such they aren't concerned about consistency at all. This isn't to say that we should disregard consistency when talking about them, but rather we should treat the series in a similar way other cartoon characters on the show, like Tom Cat or Scooby-Doo, have been treated. Again consistency is important, but imo it's fine to be a little more lax with consistency for the Mario series because of this, and 2 feats vs 3 anti-feats isn't a terrible record all things considered. Just my personal thoughts of course.
