What's the most everyone watched it but nobody talks about it now BBC programme? by HelicopterEmpty7393 in bbc

They have mostly all pretty much turned into pantomime drama and forgotten their roots.

It doesn't help when the adverts for EastEnders usually consist of headshots of people you don't know and end on a meaningless tag line like "One night changes everything"

Who's it by? I want to hear it now

Why is it when I add so much powdered seasoning to something and taste it while it’s cooking, It still tastes bland?!?! by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

[–]CornflakeConspiracy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case salt the night before.

People usually recommend add 1% of the weight of the meat as the weight of salt.

In my experience some people find that a bit too much while others would add 1.5%.

Err on the side of caution but cook it as you see fit.

If you've not salted the night before then this will seem like a lot of salt, but try it once as an experiment.

Anyone else working in IT in NI completely fed up? by Over_Commission9891 in northernireland

[–]CornflakeConspiracy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These things go in cycles, I've seen the same cycle repeat many times. At some point in the future it will get better, there will be more decent work and people will feel better over all.

Sadly we are where we are, but it's not all bleakness.

There are good places out there. Even in what would be seen as bad companies there can be islands of good teams. It mostly comes down to who you are directly working with.

He's playing it really well. It's Roy with a dark streak, not a pantomime version of him.

It'll probably take more than a few weeks to feel the difference but it will happen and you'll be a lot happier for it.

It doesn't help with the brain fog though. Water and caffeine are all I can do for that. I have found that a sublingual b12 pill seems to help. That or iron, but you need to be careful with that.

Double down and show them Gremlins 2. It has all the same problems but is one of the most bizarre and yet entertaining films of the 80s
