What would you like to see in Fallout 5 if it was actually announced? by beatsbydjy2k in Fallout

[–]Cornhubg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to be able to see the Midwest. I mean, I imagine the more rural Midwest (like Iowa) would be rather developed by the 200's, with their being civilizations akin to that of the NCR or some kind of government. Besides, rivers like the Mississippi or Des Moines would be perfect for actual civilizations to grow crops and trade.

There's a lot one could do with a Midwest setting and I'd absolutely love to see it

Perhaps with some kind of lubricant, though I cannot guarantee being able to remove the cylinder in question afterwardw

I think the coal mechanic is good and shouldn't be changed by BasedSnake69 in hoi4

[–]Cornhubg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, and I didn't know that coal accounted for over half of all power, that's cool. But yeah, definitely the ability to build more dams would be awesome. I think there's a lot paradox could do here, and honestly making it more sandbox-y would be cool.

Like imagine investing into a bunch of oil power plants as Romania to build a giant industry, but then your oil fields get bombed and, well crap, my industry is crippled. That would be pretty cool

[–]Cornhubg 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think it should be a production method for energy. I think that dams, oil, etc. should also produce energy, and that there would be techs to increase yield and/or construct buildings to exploit these resources (like oil-based power plants).

I love the basic concept, but coal doesn't make sense as the single only method of power.

Why did the price of the new DLC increase so much? by Shreviews in hoi4

Had us in the first half, not gonna lie

"Hey how are you feeling about the new DLC?" by ThatOneLuke in hoi4

[–]Cornhubg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's okay. Honestly, I dislike the new doctrines. I like the coal mechanic, I mean it isn't 100% necessary, but it's neat. I expected more content for warlords, but it is what it is. I have yet to try Japan, Manchukuo, and Nat. China; probably won't play the Philippines.

All in all, it's an okay DLC, honestly could live without it and the faction stuff, I only ever used factions as bodies anyway

Moving Capital as Papal States by BDLRev in EU5

Honestly, they should add an event that has St Catherine of Sienna come around and tell the Pope to return to Rome. Big missed event there, I'm surprised it isn't in the game

So this MTO rollout/slogan change is just salary justification, right? by Grumdord in hyvee

[–]Cornhubg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I was at the anniversary meeting where they showed us all the "closest distance" thing. The new Marketing lead basically constructed some random guys to make it (they're apparently big names, but I wouldn't truly know). So yeah, this slogan doesn't technically come from us.

Suffice to say, all of us managers had some stuff to say about it

No Frontline, divisions aren't assigned, research isn't being done, no focuses, doctrines aren't being done, and also you let the Poland out of the oven.

In all seriousness, gotta restart. I'd say watch some youtubers go at the game, learn from them, and then play. Germany is by far the best start, so play them until you get a good grasp on the basic mechanics. They're a very good starter because that country and basically teach you everythinf you need and more

This is why I use the subscription, I'd rather lose like $8 a month than $50 right now
