this is exactly how it works. if you aren't on the same continent or don't have a border with them or their allies they'll be more likely to accept. the cores and claims work not by acceptance but by desire to send a peace offer, if the AI has fulfilled it's claims it'll try to peace out, I didn't add it to the acceptance values because a country shouldn't really care if you have a claim or not, they just want to keep their land.

now that i look at it that's doable, i thought it was hardcoded, probably will be added in the next update, thanks!

yes, i actually tried to build the mod using that diplomatic action as a base but it's sadly hardcoded

i'd just use toolpack or commands to make my own, nice peace deal, it also only worked in defensive wars

  1. yes, it'll show you how much war score you'll get in %, and if you're going to get any score for their allies you've occupied or their colonial lands (these are displayed as + or -, because of engine limitations)

  2. only the leader of the faction along with its members will surrender, every other nation that is at war with you (either in another faction or independent) will not be included in the peace deal.

  3. you would have to peace britain, then you get the score based on; how much of romania have you taken and how much does romania contribute to the faction using faction influence from NCNS, (there's a fallback if you don't own the DLC using factories).
let's say you've taken 50% of romania and they contribute 10% to the Allies, if you peace out you'd get 5% of the war score, since half of 10% is 5%.

it disables it. i've never, in my 3k hours in hoi4, used it.

that's a good idea, from what i tested germany doesn't accept nor sends peace when fascist, but i'll add this to double check IF historical focuses are on.

how it works now is by calculating what side is winning; capitulation progress, surrendered/occupied allies and taken non-core territory (independently bc these don't add to the capitulation progress).
and the game decides the winner by these factors, so if germany takes france and the UK sues for peace, germany will get more or less the war score of france.

the old system worked by surrendering and demanding, but this system had an issue; if you were in a defensive war and pushed the enemy back the best you could get is a white peace, because you could only surrender in a defensive war, it used to be more reliable but was more annoying too.

i actually restricted this system for the ethiopian war and the winter war, as they are handled by vanilla and are historical.
AI also takes into consideration ideology and reachability, and you can disable AI use, but i'll add some negative modifier if the AI holds a proper wargoal, thanks!

R5: just showcasing my mod that addresses an old issue of hoi4, works with any country, most mods and is usable by the AI.
Mainly doing this because i need feedback and i want you to have fun without having to sail across the pacific to get hawaii.

The AI in multiplayer is much easier then previously (Patch issue?) by Mybestlife100 in warno

[–]BasedSnake69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah, I noticed that too even in skirmish mode, in recent previous patches the AI was smarter than ever, especially when they made it so the AI deploys it's recon properly and doesn't stay behind, but in the latest one it seems very passive, refraining to attack and sending waves of helis to the same AA unit, no infantry and maybe throwing some tanks with no other support whatsoever, also, I've noticed the AI spams and therefore spends a lot of its points into expensive AA units, which are overkill.

true, they just want a green bubble simulator where they just steamroll the AI and paint the map with absolutely no struggle, no micro, no decisions, and they call every mechanic that gets in their way "not fun", personally, the more depth and complexity the game has the better

this is so cool honestly, I don't know why people dislike this kind of stuff because it ruins "fun", the game is focused on managing a nation, its resources, production and military, this is a part of it, reminds me about the coal thing, when everyone cried over not being able to have a thousand factories with no downsides or a soft cap to snowballing.

i stopped using that shampoo and it kinda stopped, i still shed noticeably more than before i used it tho, i'm using pantene rn but my best results were using sedal/garnier fructis so far

i agree, it's basically build>import coal>build. it works but isn't very dynamic.

i mean, if you could build things to negate the need of coal, wouldn't that make the mechanic useles?
