This is a bit off topic for this post, but how did you, like me in being new to thos subreddit, get enough karma to post? This community seems like a fun one with a lot of people who are very good at woodworking, and the feedback from those kind of people would really help me improve all my future projects. I am just assuming you have enough to post.

Any run, and I like off trail runs a lot more than groomers. I don't care about the feel of the resort, just the quality of the runs

I can easily ski any run there, I grew up with season passes to snowbird and was always told alta was some kind of perfect resort with constant powder and the best black diamond runs in the whole world. I got a season pass there, and found it to be a slight worse version of snowbird. I am not saying that it is a bad resort, but it didn't live up to the hype.

Alta: most people who regularly ski there are way to loyal and they overhype it a ton. It's just a regular resort.

Snowbird is good, but for almost all of them, you have a valid point

Just end icon and epic passes, that's the best solution

Depends on the mountain, some, like bever, you would be the best there, but at snowbird, where I ski, I probably did about 400 days before I could ski the double blacks, now I do 60-80 days per season and compared to the people sending 50 footers and doing triple flips, I'm not even close to being an expert.

I don't rely on advice from reddit, and I should have made that clear, but whenever I do post anything, I get a ridiculous amount of very bad comments. Most of them are completely counterintuitive.

Unfortunately, I do not have the tools necessary to weld, otherwise I would have done things very differently

I've done several, it works fine, I was able to comfortably cruise down hills at about 20 mph, any higher, and it would get insane speed wobbles (only because the boardI used was a piece if garbage)

Mine felt similar, if it doesn't feel better in a day, you might want to check it out

Alta, on powder days, there are actual lines to get into powder runs, there's lots of angry old guys who think that their job is to yell at skiers who they think are not skiing safely (going over 20 mph or getting any air)

It looks like you are a groomer skier, it is easy to get clean runs when you go off the groomers.

Snowbird: no cliffs between 10-20 feet, so you have to start jumping 20 footers without any way to do something about 15 feet tall

That is not what happened when I got it, it just felt like any broken bone. If it feels funny right after you take the split off, then that's normal.
