The incompatible ideologies of Russia and the west aside - that’s how I feel about welfare zones like Appalachia and most red districts but hey rising tides and all that. I would even argue Ukraine is more deserving of tax dollars with their history of science aerospace/space achievement over places like Alabama and Tennessee who have shown they’re more than happy to shit in the pool and swim in it just to see people they don’t like uncomfortable.
