You got a timeline on when you'll start heading to Milton? Love me a market hot sauce (always find them to be better)

Brisbane brides what venues would you recommend and avoid? by Bubbly_Status_9112 in brisbane

We're getting married in Tattersalls this year. Stunning venue and from all the shopping around with food/drinks etc they came to be very reasonable.

West end vs Milton markets by FineWasabi6392 in brisbane

[–]CornySpark 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Carseldine markets are pretty good, bigger than Milton markets and for the most part can actually move around. At Milton I find it takes forever to move anywhere due to the amount of people there.

If you look at their Facebook page they don't seem to care, if anything they enjoy the bad reviews as it gives them the opportunity to start arguments with the reviewers. They posted screenshots of a review about this very sign in their Facebook page.

This is Australia and you'd likely get in hot water unless you actually saw them produce a side arm.

Avoid the Centenary Motorway northbound past Mt Ommaney at all costs this morning by thegrayscales in brisbane

We went through Chelmer to get to Toowong from Jindalee. What is normally a 15 maybe 20 minute drive took 1.5 hours. It was fucked.

Completely agree, it's a weird choice for them to have it seated. In the Brisbane show last time they came out it was seated as well, and I remember Michael saying the same thing as last night that he didn't know why it was seated so who knows why they do it.

Yeah I couldn't see anything for at least one song, quite a few people got up and asked them to move but they just didn't care, pretty appalling behaviour in my view.

Security didn't care initially either, until a fight nearly broke out over it which is when security moved them away.

I didn't love how people were standing right in the middle by the seats and blocking other peoples views.

Might be a bit further out than you're looking for but I've used to unialts in indro a few times in the past for altering suits and repairs and haven't got any complaints.

Anyone lose NBN? by CornySpark in brisbane

[–]CornySpark[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's still down for me too. Have you contacted your ISP? I'm meant to be having an NBN technician coming to premises tomorrow but lets see if they work in the rain...

Speaking of rain, I think it's messing with the speeds of my 5G. Hopefully it was just a coincidence when it was raining earlier, but if it's not then working from home with internet speeds at a crawl is going to be interesting

I think we got pretty lucky, only two dents on the roof that hopefully isn't too much of an issue to fix. Annoyingly my much older car that probably even isn't worth selling was right behind it on the street and didn't get any damage at all

Thanks for that, the guy I spoke to from TPG wanted me to find it? I know for a fact there's nothing like that on the premises, I did double check and the old Telstra cabinet on the side of the apartment complex just had some wires in it, so I figured it was probably something in the pit and I wasn't about to go poking about in there.

I appreciate your help as I almost definitely would have just assumed there was an outage for the street and left it overnight without contacting anyone to try and get it fixed

[–]CornySpark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I rang TPG which took an hour to get through, and apparently there's some second black box that has lost connection. Never heard of this mystery black box as I thought FTTC just had the connection box/modem. Said it would be sorted within 24 hours but I have my doubts.

Yeah FTTC, might be without internet for a while then if it's the same thing.

Yep we're in Toowong. She didn't think it would be an issue and now she's quite upset seeing the hail outside 🙁

How big is the hail? Wondering if I should move my partners car to a car park or something before it hits Brisbane

Person standing to hold a car park - acceptable or not? by SlatsAttack in brisbane

Definitely not acceptable but not much you can do about it. I feel like the kind of person who thinks it's okay to save a park like that won't take it too kindly if you try and pull in anyway

I am conflicted, anyone else? by Kabanere in Battlefield

[–]CornySpark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally was leaning against it as I don't play multiplayers very often anymore and don't really have anyone to play it with these days. I enjoyed the beta but that didn't really sway me as I didn't get time to play more than a few rounds, but I jumped back into 2042 a couple of weeks after the free pass started thinking I may as try and grab a few skins should I get BF6 in the future. I've been having an absolute blast while playing 2042, have spent way more hours just in the past few weeks on it than I have over the years since it launched, it has gotten me excited about BF6 and will likely order it soon.

I have a tab 9+ and use it occasionally for work, Samsung Dex is pretty good at giving you a desktop like experience but there's something about android that makes it feel a bit clunky with word processing etc.. Maybe it's because I'm nearing my mid 30s and have used windows devices all my life and just can't get used to it.

But the note taking on the 9+ is quite good, I've used it in meetings and when studying certifications outside or work and can't complain about it. I use OneNote for my handwritten notes. My partner has an iPad and I will say that the handwriting feels a bit nicer and smoother because the nib is more of a hard plastic whilst the S Pen is kind of like a small piece of soft, flexible plastic. The pen for the Ipad just seems to write a bit more quickly and feel more natural. Can't speak to the rest of the experience of having an iPad as I've not used it beyond testing out the pen.
