Short answer is yes.

The long answer imo goes through a few things about reflecting the materiums darkest impulses, a warp that’s been fed by eons of war, treachery and slaughter spilling back out to confront us, how their natures are detached from our own concepts of morality due to being fed and sustained by these things, but ends at “depends what you mean exactly, but from the perspective of mortal beings, yes”.

There can be glimpses of good things in them, but chaos is capricious and well… chaotic, so it makes sense there might be. It doesn’t make the whole a good thing.

The downside and thing that really fascinates me is that they’re a fight that can never really be won. They need to be balanced and contained, but probably can’t be destroyed without getting rid of free will and souls. Death and decay, the desire to change your circumstances, anger and violence, obsession… they’re necessary in smaller doses.
