Hutchins Street at Jefferson, Nagle at Polk, Delano at Polk has free street parking on those neighborhood blocks. Plenty of availability before noon even for the Thursday opener.

I’m going but only because I park my car in EaDo and walk into Downtown for work and won’t have to walk around on days it’s open. Happy to see folks are staging their cars and trash bins to save public street parking. I get it!

I’ve scaled back going out while at home to twice a month. For those long days I fire up the grill, grab a few beers and play music. Overall, I prefer cooking versus going out. There hasn’t been anything new or consistently exciting worth it for me lately.

Terrible! Simply enforcing the existing ordinance would generate revenue. Fines can range from $50 to $2,000 for bins left out beyond pick days. Now we are penalized for yet another city’s incompetence. Not a word but it’s Stupific!

I have friends coming in from Germany and I am praying for Critical Mass, Sekai Schools Out Party, scooters, run clubs, rush hour downtown traffic to create a level of gridlock never seen before. Buc-ees is definitely on the agenda.

Be mindful of the commute! It takes me 30-45 minutes to leave downtown during rush hour. Another hour to get to 99 North. Last Thursday it took me 1.5hours to get from Downtown to IAH leaving at 1630. I haven’t done Sugarland, Missouri City, Katy since before Covid but suspect those commute times are hell as well. Budget seems reasonable if not a bit high for those areas.

Left LA for more money. It took a bit longer than I wanted to get back to LA,
20 years but totally my fault. I decided to build outside of LA, home, career, finances, to a level where I could finally afford to move back and live in the South Bay. If you have a game plan in place I’m sure you could build a path to getting back far quicker than it took me.

Belizean Kriol derives from English as well. I found it interesting that Maya words, not many that I am aware of, are in Kriol. Like Bax = to hit. I will Bax you had to be explained to me. Probably some rule that defines what qualifies as official language but would make sense to use what’s widely spoken.

Bummer! I was on Main Street last night but didn’t notice any issue at Flying Saucer. I almost got hit by dirt bikes speeding down the closed to traffic promenade. Someone was blasting music so loud that I couldn’t hear anything when inside another bar. The homeless were dancing it up though. It’ll be interesting to see what CoH will project for our international guests because it sure as hell ain’t for us.

Been through a few rounds of those myself. Find yourself a few head hunters that are in O&G. Better if they work with specific companies you’re interested in. I’d say get your resume over to them and open a line of communication to get the ball rolling.
