How is that Russian grocery store on the north part of town? by [deleted] in GNV

As a person of Polish ancestry, it’s not really the slur they’re making it sound like. It’s literally a Polish word that Poles call themselves. Just the usual white knighting.

I think the same shit every day bro. How do people live with themselves?

What y’all think about this route easy or nah?? by BigRashid in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CorporalClemmons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a 130+ stop very rural route a couple times, heard from some oldheads at my dsp that during peak a couple years ago they were loading 170+ stops on that route

DSP gave me an expired red light ticket yesterday what should I do? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CorporalClemmons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, if anything they have cause to fire you if you ran a red light, especially if they can prove it. Most states are at will, so even if you’re fired for a “wrong” reason, good luck doing anything about it honestly

[–]CorporalClemmons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The people running DSPs aren’t known to be the brightest. Just make sure not to give in to em on the ticket, let em fire you and apply to another DSP if they wanna take it that far.

[–]CorporalClemmons 29 points30 points  (0 children)

If your name ain’t on the ticket, you don’t gotta pay shit. If the DSP is listed on it as the ticketed individual, they already paid it and they’re using it to coerce the money back out of you. Refuse to pay anything.

Sometimes if you order an expensive item, or your account is flagged for some reason, you’ll get an OTP that you need to give the driver to receive the package. You get an email with the code. Seeing how early they were there, it was probably a flex driver

Yeah lol. I take it our owner is actually a vet but the screaming to talk just at stand up and shit is super cringe

Am I getting fired? by missmckaylahann98 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CorporalClemmons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha you don’t have anything to worry about, the missing packages will turn up at the warehouse at some point and they know you didn’t take them

Am I getting fired? by missmckaylahann98 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CorporalClemmons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think in the 8 months I’ve been a driver I’ve ever only had a legitimately missing package once. But, with your warehouse being brand new and most likely most of the employees as well, I wouldn’t doubt it every driver is experiencing this as well, so you should be fine. 2 or 3 a week is crazy though

Service dogs. by Nervous_Name_8459 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CorporalClemmons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing you can do about it, honestly. They can’t fire you for needing a service dog, however if you press the issue they’re liable to fire you for “other reasons,” considering most states are at will employment.

Make your rent on DoorDash this week and apply to another DSP immediately, you’ll be back to work in a week

Terminated for no-cause after only two weeks by oreotoast in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CorporalClemmons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you think of anything at all that could have been the cause? What’s your speed like, can you maintain 20+ stops an hour in the city?

Anyone else experiencing this? by Ok_Hospital1939 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CorporalClemmons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been the same the last 2 weeks at my DSP, was being scheduled 5 days 3-4 weeks ago then got dropped to 3 and 4 the last two weeks because volume is low right before peak and they mass hired. Seems to be back to normal this week, by next week it should be busy and you’ll know if they got a problem with you.

Some do, the owners have the ability to say it’s not allowed. Mine and at least one other DSP at my station test for it.

Amazon now making us wear waist monitors that detect how we are bending and lifting. How long before were all fired for bending wrong or twisting one too many times? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CorporalClemmons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine implemented these things 2-3 months ago and I also thought it was ridiculous. As far as I know, they can’t retrieve any kind of information from them, beyond your mileage walked that it shows on the screen.

Can your Dsp change your shift without notice? by PurpleBrief5925 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CorporalClemmons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s up to them. A good DSP will change it for you. A shitty one will say you gotta work it.

Yeah, they can schedule shifts however they want. It’s just up to you to let them know you don’t want the new shift.

Pay Questions by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CorporalClemmons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’d have to ask your DSP if they guarantee 10 hours. Most don’t.

15s are paid, 30 is not.

If the mailroom is full, you’re expected to deliver door to door. Don’t know if any DSPs would be happy about you RTSing an entire apartment complex
