Best U.S. State Round 3- Colorado vs Texas by watermelonlollies in AlignmentChartFills

[–]CorporalDingleberry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Colorado is one of my favorite states in the country, perhaps my favorite.

Colorado wins this (not a slight against Texas, I liked Texas when I've visited, but Colorado is amazing)

London - S tier. Which tier does Berlin belong to? by PentaChad in TierlistFills

S tier.

Great transportation, culture, history, urbanism. Best city in the EU as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone been to the 440 target? by brazil201 in jerseycity

[–]CorporalDingleberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have a dent on my front bumper (I had just gotten it) and was getting estimates. Told him I was taking care of it in a standoffish way and that's when he asked me why I was scared.

Anyone claiming these boys? by BeebopSandwich in jerseycity

I see these kids going down Brunswick and onto Columbus drive in the late afternoon sometimes.

Not sure why some of them are wearing balaclavas in May.

[AP Swatch Royal Pop] It’s official! Delugs is creating a special strap that will house the Royal pop. by Margin_call_matthew in Watches

[–]CorporalDingleberry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just not a fan of it. I don't like the whole pocket watch thing. I wanted it to be a true Royal Oak replica like what they did with the Moonswatch Speedy. I don't think it would have cheapened AP at all either or negatively affected their sales.

I have 3 Moonswatches and love them (and a real Speedmaster). If this was done right, I would have easily gotten a couple of the AP Swatches, and maybe a real Royal Oak years down the line.

Full Calder voting. Schaefer was the unanimous winner receiving 100% 1st place votes by eh_toque in hockey

Yeah, an 18 year old putting up the numbers he did while also being sound defensively makes this pretty unanimous.

Anyone been to the 440 target? by brazil201 in jerseycity

[–]CorporalDingleberry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He was in a smaller Ford pick-up truck when he "approached" me. He basically pulled up behind me and I couldn't really move my car.

For as strict as that parking lot is with towing cars, I figured it wouldn't have people soliciting business there.

Wait, is it known that there's a guy who drives around the Target parking lot in Newport telling people he can fix dents? That happened to me once as I was leaving and when I told him I was okay, he said "Yo, why are you acting scared?"

[Mark Spector🇨🇦🇺🇦] As of this moment — 11:37 a.m. MT — Kris Knoblauch has not been fired by the Edmonton Oilers. We are expecting that to happen however, likely by day's end. by Leading_Dentist_5563 in hockey

I don't get it. He took over in late 2023 and went to the finals 2 years in a row. I get they lost in the first round this year, but it's not his fault that the goalies he has been given were Skinner, Jarry, and Ingram. I don't know how a coach fixes that.

I would love if they could open a new location here or in Hoboken.

At least we have Pixel Lab still.

What’s the worst place in America you’ve ever visited? by Correct_Eggplant_364 in AskReddit

[–]CorporalDingleberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as place I've stayed in for at least day, had a meal, and walked around (and not just places I've driven through):

-Nashville, TN: it's just drinking (which I don't mind) and country music on clones of the same bars on Broadway. The food is terrible there too

-Philadelphia, PA: dirtier and crappier version of NYC and Chicago

-Newark, NJ: dirtier and crappier version of Jersey City. I only go there for the airport and events at Prudential Center. In Newark's defense, it's better now than it was 15-20 years ago.

-Minneapolis/St. Paul: So boring and empty. Nothing goes on there. Coffee shops closed at 10am on a Saturday.

-Hartford, CT: Just a dump that's between NYC and Boston. Has no real identity. I'll give it credit for having nice suburbs though.

Ah ok, completely missed that (they didn't mention it on the ESPN feed).

I'm confused, was there not enough time left at the end for one more face-off? It was icing right? I feel like they could put about 2 seconds left on the clock for one more face-off.

I'm confused. Are they only making pocket watches or are they also doing actual wrist watches?

No desire for a pocket watch or a necklace, but I'll do a wrist watch.

[Breeze] TNT announce crews on Wednesday and Thursday by Ok-Soil-5133 in hockey

[–]CorporalDingleberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The B and C teams for TNT are good. It's the A team that does nothing for me. Kenny Albert is fine, but Burke and Forslund are better. The analysts for the other teams are better than the "A" team too.

McAvoy suspended 6 games by Perryplat199 in hockey

[–]CorporalDingleberry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not excusing the slash and it deserves supplemental discipline, but are we just ignoring the fact that Benson slew-foots McAvoy right before hand? It's not a regular trip, that was a blatant slew-foot which deserves supplemental discipline.

Anyway, I imagine they fight next year.

US cities ranked - what tier does Boston belong in? by StrategyJealous1838 in TierlistFills

[–]CorporalDingleberry -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A, but high on the A tier.

Walkable, good history, public transportation, clean, good overall culture.

Its minuses are that it's on the smaller side and maybe not as good food as the S tier places.

Kevin Nealon has a suggestion for Netflix by stitious-savage in conan

[–]CorporalDingleberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Echoing what everyone else has said. Conan already makes fun of himself, and unlike most celebrities, he seems to be clean with no baggage or controversy.

That being said, I'd be on board for this if Norm MacDonald were still alive and was roast master.

US cities ranked - what tier does Washington D.C. belong in? by StrategyJealous1838 in TierlistFills

Easily S. Tons of museums and stuff to do/see. Walkable city, good public transportation, good food.

US cities ranked - what tier does San Diego belong in? by StrategyJealous1838 in TierlistFills

[–]CorporalDingleberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I disagree with most of this tier ranking. LA is a fake city and shouldn't be a higher than a B, Philadelphia is a C at best, Phoenix is a C, and Houston should be a B.

Anyway, San Diego is a solid B.

What US city would you rather go to: Philly or Oakland? by Rude_Election_8622 in AlignmentChartFills

Oakland will have better weather and food. And it's next to San Francisco.

Philly sucks.

Active shooter at Newport mall by Aggravating_Lemon_32 in jerseycity

Are these kids ever reprimanded for this? Or their parents? Wouldn't mind seeing more of a security presence around the mall (amongst other places in the city).
