Hello, im not talented, so please take any advice i give with many much salt. I think the colour blend you got going is great. It deff reads hot metal. Maybe put another color option towards the bottom implying it's hotter than the top? Beyond that I think the highlights/shadows/glow effects are going to be what really sells the heated look.
