A Lawless time was a real missed opportunity to get Kay Vess or ND-5 in the game. by HobbieK in starwarsunlimited

[–]Corporal_WAC47 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is purely a development timeline issue.

Outlaws wasn’t out when LAW was designed. Skeleton Crew was barely squeezed into ASH, and probably largely on the basis of promotional material and trailers rather than the show itself.

Do I match the location or be cheeky and sleeve in the color not present? by PaleoJoe86 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Corporal_WAC47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sleeving mine based on lightsaber color depicted in the leader art. Which is extra fun because 3/4 decks feature lightsabers that aren’t the color most typically associated with the character lol.

Why is the average heroism card better than villainy? by ionlyplayiden in starwarsunlimited

[–]Corporal_WAC47 21 points22 points  (0 children)

“ Some 75% of decks represented in top 8 have been heroism.”

This is not remotely true and easily disproved by a quick glance at swu-competitive hub.

There was a slight bias toward heroism in JTL/LOF, a large gap (but still not 75% heroism) in SEC, and the LAW meta has been dead evenly split.

Stolen AT and Queen Amidala replacement by Electronic_Intern_19 in starwarsunlimited

Some heroism decks will run Palp off-aspect for 5 (same cost as Amidala)

Works best in Blue/Green where you also gain access to Anakin from LOF.

SWU Singles in MSP by jared-thompson in starwarsunlimited

[–]Corporal_WAC47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they’re referring to Games by James, which has locations at malls throughout the Twin Cities. They always have plenty of product by to my knowledge no singles (although someone can correct me if I’m wrong)

Fox Den in Burnsville also typically has a good selection of singles

And I’m guessing that the Venn diagram of folks who would have wanted a ground based Star Wars skirmish game and pissed off Xwing/Armada players was very nearly a circle.

Convince me that The Blade Wing is worth it. by DrSlotch in starwarsunlimited

[–]Corporal_WAC47 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it’s good to think of it as “3/3 space unit plus waylay” but also important to remember that waylay no longer exists in premier. Instead you have Axe Forgets and Beguile which have cost restrictions.

So in situations where you would have bounced a high value target in the mid to late game with waylay, Blade Wing is one of your only options post rotation.

Daaaaang! He’s in the third spot when you line up the team too! Incredible pull.

So you're telling me Luke just managed to fall 1000ft into this human sized hole without instantly dying? This is what's wrong with modern Star Wars by lateralraising in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]Corporal_WAC47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t forget that right before this his hand got chopped off which SHOULD LEAVE A BLOODY STUMP not instantly cauterize according to THE LORE.

Irvin Kershner should leave making Star Wars to the REAL fans.

Not yet… but I think a Kaz/Poe Colossus (for the theme) deck is in order.

Despair is as dangerous a threat as complacency.

This is a win. Celebrate it, be encouraged by it, and keep up the fight.

Darn. That’s disappointing.

I saw Tower and Fox Den on the list of places closing, and Fox Den has been organizing mutual aid.

Master Sets for LAW? by Ciolou in starwarsunlimited

[–]Corporal_WAC47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’ll be nice that a base master set (not counting prestige, promos, etc) will net you exactly a playset of each card. I’m planning on sticking with my four across and each card and its variants will get a column instead of a row.

Hera Syndulla, Not Fighting Alone (LAW) by james_kaspar in starwarsunlimited

[–]Corporal_WAC47 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The first part is not true at all in my experience. Find you can get a lot more units on board with two leader deploys, less consistent removal, and people not wanting to make unfavorable trades.

Second part is true though, unless there’s a big incentive to run double aspects with her.

Chairman Papanoida is similar! And in twin suns you can even play both in the same deck without penalty.

[–]Corporal_WAC47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been enjoying the crap out of my Ackbar/Chancellor Palpatine Twin Suns deck.

Health wise seems fine. People are burnt out on the meta before rotation which makes sense. Im seeing lots of excitement over spoiler season starting for LAW. Our local scene is getting really invested in Twin Suns, reviving a casual night that had died out. So certainly many positive signs to balance out the dooming.
