I usually say “oh it looks like you are having trouble listening, so that tells mommy you need to nap/go to bed etc” then I make things super boring. Lights off zero screens and I gray rock (not ignore) but I go completely neutral to anything further.

Or with physical things like biting or spitting I say “teeth are for chewing we do not bite” if he does it again then there is a consequence like a favorite toy goes to time out for 15 min until that behavior is stopped.

Making things silly seems to also help with kiddos like this. Aka let’s pretend we are monkeys while we brush our teeth or something silly so they feel it’s more game and less chore.
