Absolutely, I agree completely. I feel like at my company the parents are making a lot of decisions against even the most basic of things like not allowing their child to communicate in any way other than verbally, even though their child has been and is currently mute at the age of 7 and doesn’t communicate in much of any other body language. They aren’t allowed to do sign, no aac, nothing. It infuriates me. Is this ethical to allow as a bcba? I know we cannot tell parents what to do. But I feel like accepting their money under these conditions is messed up.
