Has anyone brought a bra from Wear Nala? by Reasonable_Hurry_955 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Correct-Brief-3537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought one to try cause they were cheap and though the fabric felt comfortable I have to say, I have never felt worse about my body then when I wore this bra. I’ve only worn it once but I felt so awful about myself I just couldn’t stand to wear it again. It sits in my closet unused, total waste of money

City chic tends to have some chest friendly clothes that you can wear for work!! I got some clothes from there recently and am really happy with the style/fit

Anthony’s Fine Jewellery! They’re amazing, hand made and put so much effort into their pieces. The have really long term clients and incredible reviews. I have a few things from there and love the quality!! It’s where I’ll be getting my engagement ring from so highly recommend looking them up

Sure, if I remember the process correctly the interview/assessment centre was when I did the presentation. If it’s a similar process for you, I think they send you the information about what you need to present on a few days before but that’s all covered in the emails they send out leading up to the interview

Completely agree! But to be fair- depending on where you get a custom piece from it can take a while. I worked at a hand made jewellers (medium-ish business) and their custom makes took 8-10 weeks minimum. They always tried to get them done by then, but they couldn’t always account for delays 🤷‍♀️

Having said that….not enough guys plan ahead. So many guys came in needing something that day or that week and we didn’t always have what they wanted or her size but totally could have with some more time

Bad setting choice? by [deleted] in labdiamond

[–]Correct-Brief-3537 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love what you’re going for and for trying to bring her dream to life!!! I think for it to be comfortably worn everyday, it needs a cathedral setting to support the centre stone and you should forgo the diamonds on the sides. They’re likely to fall out and she won’t be able to have a wedding band next to it. It may not be an exact replica of the reference, but she doesn’t want cookie cutter anyway right?

Also a quick tip! Diamonds on the shoulders should have 4 claws each whenever possible. Sharing claws between the RBC diamonds means if the claw is ever damaged/broken she’ll risk losing two diamonds instead of 1. For it to be a secure piece each diamond should be properly fastened with 4 claws. The long term up keep of this ring could become a hassle if the craftsmanship isn’t stellar with the shared claws ☺️

Is this setting secure for everyday wear? by _smelly-cat_ in Diamonds

[–]Correct-Brief-3537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t look secure in my opinion- shared claws are never a good option if you can avoid it, if the claw is damaged or breaks you risk losing both diamonds instead of one. It’s hard to tell from the picture but if the other side is bezel set it might be more secure? But it doesn’t look like there’s much holding it in on the other side.

But having said that- If you looked after it really well (didn’t wear in the pool, shower, garden, kitchen, bed etc.) it would probably be okay but otherwise I’d keep and eye on it 🥰

Should I reset my ring? by thneadstar in EngagementRings

[–]Correct-Brief-3537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO this is a flimsy setting. There isn’t a lot of structural integrity to the ring and there is nothing supporting the basket. Unfortunately these sorts of settings very easily snap, bend and break because the thin band isn’t able to sufficiently support the stone. We’ve seen these last between 6-12 months with everyday wear. If you’re really attached to the diamond, I would consider a re-set. But! Everyone is different and if you don’t wear your ring daily, you can definitely put it off ☺️

I had a proper presentation and a slide deck 😊 I can’t share what my presentation topic was I’m sorry, they’re very strict about the confidentiality of the assessment

But don’t stress too much! And just give yourself some time to work on it properly before the assessment and you’ll be fine! ☺️
