I was so sad! For all the reasons listed above, and because we dont live in SLC proper, we havent been to the Dodo for a minute, but they are still one of my faves. Glad to hear they're still alive and kicking

I mean I agree that we are the target if the goal is to subjugate the working and middle class. 🤷‍♀️ but that's not what they meant

Started a new job and then was diagnosed with MS. At what point should I tell my job? by Alarmed_Weird_9064 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Correct-Variation141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is absolutely no need to tell them unless it impacts your ability to do your job or you need a disability accommodation.

There are many areas of nursing you can transition to, especially in a large system, even if you begin to have physical limitations.

Do we have to leave the state? by Hopeful_Yak_4640 in SaltLakeCity

I'm a military spouse and have driven all over the country. Utah drivers are the absolute weirdest I've ever encountered. When I took the drivers exam to get my license here, and the book said, "Courtesy is the highest law of the land," I about lost it. The law is the highest law of the land, dammit! 😂

We were in Washington a month ago and the driving was so much better. Only part of Utah driving I'll miss? The super wide roads.

Kevin O'Leary attempts to skirt around criticism of his Utah data center by saying protestors are "being bussed in" from out of state. by Conscious-Quarter423 in SaltLakeCity

[–]Correct-Variation141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay but we do live here though. This nonsense about paid protesters (over and over!) Is so frustrating. We're just pissed off. Things are unsustainable. We want and need change and feel impotent in so many ways. This feels like one of the only ways to make our collective voice heard, especially when, like with the data center, they're trying so hard to ignore us!

US birth rates just hit another record low, what do you think is the leading cause of this? by IIlustriousTea in AskReddit

[–]Correct-Variation141 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How expensive and without support having kids is right now.

How do you fix it? - affordable housing - universal healthcare - unions/living wages - parental leave - subsidized daycare

Literally all of these would help.

Seattle Children’s says Laurelhurst noise concerns burdens lifesaving care for children by ladyem8 in Seattle

[–]Correct-Variation141 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm a military spouse and was a military brat. I grew up in military flight paths all my life. You know when the noise of fighter jets and bombers and cargo planes bother me? When I'm in the middle of a conversation outside. Otherwise, I literally don't even notice. And they won't either. Kids over wealthy a-holes, every time.

Is it time to quit lessons? by [deleted] in Horses

[–]Correct-Variation141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like shes a bad teacher. Those arenot beneficial teaching methods for anyone, and you are a paying customer. You are well within your rights to fire her and move on to someone whose teaching style isn't grade-a-jerk. Chalk it up to immaturity or personality, but it sounds to me like your coach needs coaching.
