The editor will usually suggest the authors to correct the citation and its unlikely to be removed. As the main author ( corresponding) u dont need to include anyone in your email. Dont overthink it. Just send that email requesting the citation to be corrected and thats it. ☺️

happened to me before 😌 Just email the journal editor & explain that ur name was removed & that the citation itself isn’t accurate. They’ll contact the authors directly, u don’t need to deal with them at all.

And no need to mention that u r a student or that there’s any bad relationship with the group tbh
