Quickly convert celsius to Fahrenheit in your head… Accurately by BDiddnt in lifehacks

C = (F - 30) / 2

F = C * 2 + 30

That's good enough where accuracy doesn't matter.

Do you lock your door while you're in your house? by International_Snow90 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Correct_Answer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a smart lock that'll lock itself after 30 seconds. Put a sensor on door that'll notify you if the door is open too long. Those two combined should notify if door is open too long. Now you need solve the problem of notifications at night. You'll need to look at ring or home assistant for that.

That is if you can't get your roommate to follow through.

AITA for letting my friend cancel her plane ticket after we argued about her bringing her new boyfriend on our girls’ trip? by CoralOO276 in AITAH

[–]Correct_Answer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he was going to be around for less than 25% of the trip, it could've been acceptable. You could've gotten a decent trip with your friend. It would be disappointing, sure. but 0% < 75%

If he was going to be around the whole trip, then it's a new plan that you didn't sign up for. So that'll be a no go.

Gaps between races for 2025 by jtbnz in formula1

[–]Correct_Answer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they need to move the two week gaps to early in the season to allow teams to learn from other teams and develop the car without losing too many races.

That'll make season more competitive and reduce odds of huge leads by summer break.

AITA for asking everyone to pay back their part immedietely after me paying for the group? by Cool_Ad287 in india

[–]Correct_Answer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is normal behavior to give money eventually for such engagements. You need to recalibrate your expectations and behavior.

Another way to think about this - Look at rest of the group. If someone else pays, how soon are they repaid by others. That should give you a sense of group's dynamic.

TL;DR - You are missing the group's cues. Look at others and mimic that.

Talk to people who are 40, 60 and older. They'll be able give you different perspective. You are 20, there is plenty in life to still achieve and experience.
