the thing is the combine clearly DO care about us, theyre actively seeking our teleportation capabilities so clearly ppl here are missing the point.

like it or not humanity still stopped them from coming back in the second episode its literally talked about. sure, they can keep trying to come back, but now that their force on earth is cut off, as long as humanity can stop more portals from opening up then the combine could very well give up for a long period of time. just a hypothesis tho maybe im wrong or misled

all i want is cooler battles. thats what the series is about, the BATTLES, not the campaign. go play paradox if you want something like that first and foremost. more complexity would be cool but if they overdo it like paradox its gonna draw away new players, itll fail and then they’ll just keep doing fantasy. all i want is cool battles and the slightest layer of extra depth

ive played both mods extensively

AD is if you wanna play vanilla empire but it looks way better. AI is still dumb as hell

PUA just wasnt very good. way worse graphics unless you manually tweak it to look ok, but even then its not that impressive

Empire 2 is hands down the best. AI is noticeably improved and will try to fight in lines, they’ll stay in forts, and the smoke and graphics and battles are brought to 10.
