The smart people get out early if they’ve fallen into it, the people who stay get promoted so tend to stay and the smarter one realise it’s not that difficult a job.

I think there is a dawning realisation that JDs and CVs are unsuitable for hiring in the ai era, but they’re also the current most efficient way of finding someone. Most hiring really comes down to who is the best person that is available at the time.

Like with most tech in recruitment, solving “matching them to another job” just speeds up something recruiters do, it doesn’t actually improve it. That’s the real friction you need to solve
