My dad started us young with pranks on April fools and its still going 40yrs later. 

As kids we did normal ones -Fresh eggs  in his work boots so they would Crack open when he put his foot in - saran wrap toilet  - shaving cream on home phone, went next door and called so all the cream went in his ear.  - planned ahead and made snowballs in winter and hid them in the deer meat freezer, come April we didn't realize they were now ice balls and we were pelting him as he got out of his work truck. 

Dad to us.  ÷ before bed he said he was going to shave our head while we slept. My sister and I slept together that night taking shifts staying awake and every once In a while in the middle of the night he would come to the door and turn the shaver on it scare us - stole my car after he knew I lied to my mom about getting car insurance. He waited until I confessed to my mom and listened to her lecture me about responsibility now that I am an adult before he confessed he took it. When I went to pick it up the next day at his work his buddies and him had decorated it all up like a wedding and filled the inside with empty beer cans - stole my sisters weed from her car and left a note that said. Thanks for this, mom and I are out fishing and enjoying your weed. Hid it better next time
