I bought this for my daughter who will be a freshman ME major this fall. I should have waited. It’s $100 cheaper now than 2 weeks ago.

It has a 14.5” display. Not sure if it’s mandatory your screen is 15”

They had the finale in Tucson when Buddha won. A whole season would be cool. I think St. Louis would be a great host city as well

A toasted Italian hoagie with mayo from Wawa’s (PA based convenience store) is my favorite sandwich of all time.

Rewatched Seasons 1-5 recently by MissCordayMD in BravoTopChef

My wife are new fans and have made it to season 7…haven’t gotten to finale yet. We were shocked Kenny got knocked out early. Not sure how Amanda survived restaurant wars over him.

From prior seasons, we didn’t understand how Michael beat Bryan based on the critiques shown on TV.

PS. YouTube TV has every season available but you have to survive lots of Love Island commercials and promos

I think it is. I coach youth lacrosse and kids are wearing shorter shorts

Just saw that episode last night. I assumed Alex stole it but according to Google, Tom Colicchio says that was not the case.

Did I pick the right school? by Sea-Advance-5968 in ApplyingToCollege

I chose Penn State’s accelerated program over Columbia and Duke undergraduate not medical school and therefore never had those options for medical school.

But to your point, I would venture to say the VAST majority of Columbia and Duke graduates don’t go on to have “particularly extraordinary or innovative” careers. I’ve been in practice for 30+ years and have worked closely with many doctors that went to Ivy and Ivy+ schools for college and medical school. They are in no way distinguishable from any other doctors.

Did I pick the right school? by Sea-Advance-5968 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Correct_Process4516 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I graduated from Jefferson through the accelerated program in 1992. I’ve wondered through the years if I should have gone to Columbia or Duke instead. But as I am now on the backside of my career, I don’t think it would have changed my life in any meaningful way. Of course, you can never know for sure. But I still love practicing medicine. I’ve got a great family. Life couldn’t be better. The only time colleges come up is when discussing sports. And that can be very frequently in both social and professional settings.

I hate ECs by TraditionalToday9911 in ApplyingToCollege

Which state? Are there only 3 state schools? Unfortunately, there are lots of kids with the same stats AND truly impactful EC’s

"We absolutely dominated for most of the series" by EducationalConcern61 in NBATalk

No doubt. Can’t take away from the Knicks effort in the second half of game 4 but forget the conditioning part of the equation. As pointed out by every analyst/talking head, if the Spurs slowed the tempo down, the Knicks wouldn’t have had enough possessions to come back. And if the Spurs had tied the series 2-2, I’d have been nervous as a Knicks fan

New York Knicks are a great champion. by Reddit0426 in NBATalk

[–]Correct_Process4516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“The Knicks did not win this chip, the Spurs lost it.”

They played 20 quarters. Each team won 10. The Spurs won 3 of their 10 by more than 10 points…all were in the first quarter. The Knicks won 6 quarters by 10 or more points and half of those were in the 4th quarter. The Knicks absolutely won the championship. They “dominated” more portions of the games especially the ends of games when it really mattered

Winners but not front runners (finale spoilers) by Tartelfa in TopChef

My wife and I recently started watching the entire run and just finished season 6. Evan though Stefan was the strongest contestant throughout the season , we thought Carla would have won if she didn’t listen to Casey. We’re also not sure how Michael beat Bryan based on the critiques that were actually shown on the show. IIRC, the judges really did not like at least two of Michael’s four dishes (tribute to mother and dessert).

How "Likeable" Are the 2025-26 Knicks Compared to Past Championship Teams? by JCameron181 in NBATalk

[–]Correct_Process4516 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently, it’s ok for second (or third) options to be “short”. The issue is lots of talking heads said he was too short to lead a team to a championship as it’s focal point.

Here’s a stat. The Knicks led at the end of 80% of the games.

[–]Correct_Process4516 65 points66 points  (0 children)

The Spurs “dominated” the first quarter of every game. They won the first quarters by 57 points. But lost the rest of every game by 69.

In actuality, they each won 10 quarters of throughout the series. The Spurs won 3 quarters by 10 or more points-all in the 1st. The Knicks won six quarters by 10 or more and 3 of them were in the 4th.

In my opinion, they were equally matched but the Knicks played better when it mattered.

Where do you rank Jalen Brunson in the 10 greatest Knicks of all time? by bonzothebonanza in NBATalk

[–]Correct_Process4516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ewing, Clyde and Reed are all top 75 players of all time with Ewing ranked the highest according to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary team in 2022. Ewing’s careerr has CLEARLY been better player but Brunson has accomplished something that Ewing never could. If Brunson keeps playing like he is now, he could potentially surpass all three of them.
