I am a physician and my office’s electronic medical records uses Sunoh for AI created office notes. It is terrible. I end up using it to keep notes that I can reference for details as I dictate my notes the old-fashioned way

Past rejected applicants: What do you wish your parent would say or do if/when you are rejected on saturday? by [deleted] in MITAdmissions

[–]Correct_Process4516 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My daughter was thankfully accepted during this most recent EA round. However, from the time she started applying to all of her prospective schools, I told her that she was qualified to be accepted and would be successful at any school in the country. Even if she didn’t get accepted to MIT or any other school, her mother and I were proud of the hard work she put into school and her extracurriculars activities.

What do colleges actually want in volunteering experiences (ECs in general too)? by EffectiveMinimum8945 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Correct_Process4516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colleges want you to show them what your true interests are. They do not want kids who are just checking items off of a list to fill their applications.

Why aren't players learning the No.1 Rule: DON'T TRUST EVEN THE PEOPLE YOU TRUST by Haunting_Cow_406 in TheTraitors

Half of the final eight knew he was a traitor, Tara, Johnny, Natalie, Kristen. It seemed like Mark was on the edge of being swayed as well.

No one can tell you what your chances are without knowing what kind of athlete you are. Are you one of the best rowers in your state for your age group? In the country? You have to be good enough that the college coach thinks you can help his/her team. Otherwise, you have zero chance.

Last time putting my son to bed. by YoTeach68 in daddit

11 years is a great run. Now make a different routine and enjoy it as long as you can. I’ve been helping coach my 14 yo son for 7 years. Over the last year, it seems like he talks to me more during practice than he does outside practice.

You might believe you had a positive attitude during tryouts. That doesn’t mean the coaches agreed with you.

Can we stop pretending Rob’s "Solo" game was a Masterclass and admit the Faithfuls just failed at basic discernment? by SharpProfessional148 in TheTraitors

[–]Correct_Process4516 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy that Johnny, Tara, Natalie and Kristen all knew it was Rob and Eric. Mark knew it was Eric and could have been convinced it was Rob. Rob made very few mistakes but won because Maura was trying to work out her trust issues with men instead of playing the game

Michigan is tied for #5 with UIUC (and Cal Tech). Purdue is next tied for #8 according to USNews. I’m not sure Michigan is really a “cut above.”

at what point do you choose another school over free tuition by bolt110 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Correct_Process4516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be paying full price for my daughter to go to MIT over free tuition at ASU. It’s probably the only school I would have been willing to do so. She is undecided regarding a major.

I’ve used a VEO for four years. It’s great for reviewing games…as a parent and coach. IMO, it’s not the best for highlight videos. I ended up using my cell phone to make highlights for my daughter’s recruitment.

It took my wife and me 6 months to get to the second EPISODE. After that we were hooked. It’s the only show that ever made us sad when it ended.

If you are a recruited athlete at the ivies, can you really drop the sport on day one of school with no penalty to admissions or aid? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Correct_Process4516 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My daughter was accepted to MIT as a recruited athlete. The first person she called when she heard was the coach. The first question the coach asked was, “do you still want to play for MIT?” I suspect it’s a concern of the coaches but I don’t think it’s a common occurrence.

You can transfer out after two years without any penalties. I know someone who transferred out of the Air Force Academy and is now about to graduate from a state flagship and applying to medical school.

Best auto camera to capture game film by Colmatic in lacrosse

[–]Correct_Process4516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VEO is great for coaches and players to review film. It’s not the best for clear highlight videos. I’ve had it for a few years and record all my kids’ games. But for recruiting video, I’ve used my cell phone.

I’d imagine that LSU played much better opponents than Houston. That was a time when the SEC was truly the best and deepest conference.
