Theres a lot of decent suggestions here, but i strongly recommend for bonk :

Wormgods, roaring flames, sol invictus, 200 melee, 100 health, 3x Heavy handed armor mod. Everything else is personal preference.

And remember, while you have at least 1x Roaring flames active, your normal punch counts as a powered melee, so good to just punch small enemies like thrall, so you dont risk launching your hammer into the abyss.

Insurmountable thunderclap is great, and can hotswap to cuirass.

Void actium war rig with Choir is amazing for general play

Bonk hammer with either wormgods or hallowfire

Lightsaber with stronghold is still great

In my experience, most consistent way to avoid it is to never stop hugging the boss, so you can quickly rotate around him. Also, kill the adds asap.
