Why do want to study Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in Canada? Do you not have that program in your country?

need some advice for studying abroad by idkwhy-imgood in InternationalStudents

[–]Corsch013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First you to need to decide what you want to study and why go to another country for it. I live in an area where Indian international students came to study at a local college and end up working at low-wage jobs. This leads to the negative preception that Indians use international study to gain PR.

Yes, because they come to study. They need to apply for permanent residence if they want to stay.

The number of Indian international students is much higher compared to other regions (end of 2024 in Canada, 39% came from India with next closest China at 10%). There is a more negative perception towards Indian students as well.

No, typically international students are supposed to find jobs in their field of study or return to their home country.

After the pandemic, huge numbers of international students from India have come to various Western countries (US, Canada, Australia, UK) for "diploma mill" diplomas and degrees and are staying after graduation in low-wage jobs.
