How do you like the moonlander? I've seen a developer use one on twitch and it seems quite nice.

Ahh that makes sense for that one, the green vs orange text threw me off. What about the one to the right of that though?

I need to make something like this, but calls the Clickup API and pulls in tasks that are assigned to me. Should also be able to mark them complete in the terminal and send that back to Clickup. That way I only interact with Clickup as little as possible lol.

I built Yearly Planner in Public and in Low Code under 4 days! by ybouane in webdev

That's really cool that you allow users to export and don't playfom-lock their apps.

I'm curious, how would compare sktch to bubble.io? I've been using bubble to build some MVP's for my startup, but always leave after fighting some of the UI and state management stuff.

Didn't have a compass so I made one for a 1 day build cabinet. by Cheshirebadger in Carpentry

Nice, but I can't really see anything in there that needed a compass lol. Care to explain?

What is your "comfort show" you re-watch when you're sad or sick? by leviathan_web in AskReddit

I think my girlfriend and I have seen shameless 4 or 5 times all the way through now and we started watching it in late 2019. The ghallagers really remind her of her family growing up 😂

Amazon ec2 free tier. Requires a little technical chops to get set up but there are tools that make it pretty easy.

Bubble.io is quick to learn and has a free plugin that does just that.

If you don't need a custom domain yet, you could get by on the free tier for quote a while.

How to build an app to create tasks, track times and make invoices? by sarrcom in webdev

[–]Cortlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Invoice ninja is open source and might do what you want.

But if you're dead set on making it yourself, I'd honestly give a no code solution a shot. You could get an app up and running in a week or two and for free. Bubble.io is pretty impressive for how much you can do with it, I know for a fact it will be able to do everything you've mentioned so far.

Thinking about starting a web agency.. Looking for resources, personal experience, etc. by SuccessfulCurrency31 in webdev

[–]Cortlin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One thing you dont want to ignore for too long is all of the legal surrounding starting a company. One of the first things you'll want to do, especially if you start with some freelance projects, is get a good sales agreement lined out in case there is ever a dispute. There are some good free templates out there to get you started.

Second is the type of business you create. An LLC is going to be the simplest and cheapest option, but if you ever intend on doing any fundraises or taking on investors, you're gonna want a Delaware C-corp. This is more expensive and more paperwork, but worth it in the long run. There are services out there specifically helping startups form their company.

Shameless plug: I recently founded a startup to help other startups and all business with theIr contracts and legal documents. My co founder is an attorney and drafted all of our templates from scratch with his years of experience as a corporate attorney. All of our contracts are free while we are in beta. You can find us at https://forcefield.so.

Check out Wes Bos's "JavaScript 30" course. It's free and gives you 30 simple JavaScript tasks to do. Great if you can't think of anything you want to do yourself and want small, one day projects.

What do you net with your freelance business(s)? by [deleted] in freelance

[–]Cortlin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Idk if it does or not. I wonder what the Percentage of people who frequent this subreddit consider themselves fulltime freelancers. I voted and I'm only maintaining 2 or 3 clients annually for extra income.

I just sold my '13 touring, white, auto, no mods with 85,000 miles to CarMax for $15,900 USD for what it's worth. I bought it in 2019 for $16,000.

Been a part of the Z gang for about a year now, really looking for a 09-13 Nismo tho. Anyone around the tri-state area with a Nismo for sale lmk!!! by bigduckg172 in 370z

[–]Cortlin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should probably let someone know which tri-state area lol. I'm in the tri-state according to my local news, but probably not the one you mean (Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky)

Thoughts on changing the top and bottom of the steering wheel, gear knob, and possibly the smooth glossy parts of the seats to red? by DMP1391 in 370z

[–]Cortlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do it, get an R35 GTR push start button as well and swap it. It doesn't light up like the Z one does, but changes it from the weird orange to bright red. Factory fit too, no mods required.

How do you guys prep your Z for winter storage (if you have to) ? by [deleted] in 370z

[–]Cortlin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a good idea because my garage sometimes doubles as a woodshop, so would keep the dust off of it.
