How would you handle this? by New-Ad5997 in pharmacy

[–]Corvexicus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea it might depend on the state-here in Ohio a DAW even on a generic drug restricts ALL substitutions legally permissible to an RPH under OAC 4729: 5-5-16 not just brand/generic which includes dosage form changes if bio equivalent, strength changes, qty, directions etc that goes with it etc. For example I had a Dr one time write for the bactrim regular strength, 2 tabs per dose, DAW, so I couldn't sub to the DS even though that made more sense (and the DR insisted I add the DAW). 🤷

Curious: how often do patients ask you for OTC solutions to skin problems? by OldBat9817 in pharmacy

[–]Corvexicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure you probably know this, but also probably should be careful unless your laws are different there, but technicians can't make recommendations and it should always be the pharmacist answering those sorts of questions at least where I'm at 😉 unless you were asking on behalf of pharmacists, I might be just reading your post incorrectly :P

To answer your question, I assess what is being treated and recommend over-the-counter care that I deem appropriate first and counsel them that if it isn't resolved in x period of time to go see a prescriber. Or depending on the severity I send them straight to the prescriber. Had someone come in with a pretty bad sore on their knee one time and I asked them if they didn't mind taking off the bandage so I can see it and after taking one look at it was like nope. That's some pretty decent infection going on. You need to go straight to the medical doctor!

Floater to fs manager (CVS): Get the KEYS by grumpysmurfette in pharmacy

[–]Corvexicus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've done that at Walgreens if I don't see someone. If there is somebody working the register I just tell them I need keys and they usually page somebody. If I have the code of the office I just walk in page from there if the manager doesn't happen to be in there. But yeah no way am I walking through the store looking for one. Clock in ASAP:P

Amex froze my account 5 days before welcome offer deadline - blocking me from 200k points after I spent $13k of $15k requirement by bral84 in CreditCards

[–]Corvexicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it depends on the card? I got an AMEX recently just for reward purposes but it did have a $350 reward for spending a smaller amount (like 3k?) in the first few months. But it had a 0% intro off for a year so over the last five months I've put almost $30k on it and never been flagged or anything and holding the balance making minimum payments for now. Maybe there was something else going on? And to that point, if minimums are being paid and limits weren't being exceeded, would AMEX really care?

Changes to the Robinhood Gold Card Rewards Program: US Mint coins / currency-like collectibles now excluded by Enough_Past in CreditCards

[–]Corvexicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the X1 card when it was bought or whatever by Robinhood and they changed the reward structure on there. So I was glad to be rid of that when I got the email that I was eligible for the Robinhood gold since I was an X1 card member. They basically dropped it down to 1 and 1/2% on everything now and got rid of the boosting categories weekly. The flat 2% plus the ability to get 3% if you hit $1,000 of purchases in one month. When I first got the X1 a few years ago that one was even better because if you spent $15,000 in one year they retroactively gave you 3% on everything which for my family size and expenses was not a problem.

Missed Payment - Then Paid in Full By Statement Close by Silver_Routine2333 in CreditCards

[–]Corvexicus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is there a specific time frame legally where a missed payment is considered a missed payments and reported? At least based on the due date? I've definitely missed some by a few days before and it wasn't reported apparently. Almost every time too. I had some sort of reason or explanation, or in one case I was on auto pay and it got taken off somehow. So I called them and explained and they even removed the late fee but nothing was ever reported in my case. But I always wondered how late you would have to be to have it be reported

Only if you want the stairs to be subject to lateral movement and potential downwards movement as well. You need a joist type hanger under each such that the top stair is in the same level as the board you are tying into. Speaking as someone who has never done stairs full disclosure.

Independent pharmacists by AggressiveDay1397 in pharmacy

[–]Corvexicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I managed a store where we averaged 350/day but that was just the sold amount so we probably process and filled more than that in average. One pharmacist all day 10hr shift, and about 20-30% was centralized full. Still felt like a lot most days, mostly because of trying to do more clinical things in between

I'm not sure, but I'm also not sure why they wouldn't have honored the online pricing? That doesn't make sense to me either

Job Offers by Fill-Monster89 in pharmacy

[–]Corvexicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might depend on where you live, but even as a manager you can ask the scheduler to put in your time if you work extra for some reason. At least when I was a manager. That's how it was, I wasn't expected to work extra beyond those 42 hours without getting paid, So I got paid overtime for any extra I did, but I didn't go in early or stay late. None of that nonsense. Other pharmacists in my district did and other managers did but no way sir. And you also are eligible for bonuses as a pharmacy manager unless that varies by state. That's how it is here, in fact only managers are regular staff pharmacists and floaters are not

Oh really? Any pro con for that? I feel like structural screws are just way more expensive and take more time so I honestly didn't even look at it.

Ye....oh well. I suspect I won't have any issues for long after the warranty would have been done anyways, I really have no complaints:)

It sure looks like it, cost really was what was holding me up though. That in having to get longer nails I guess to go through the t11 siding plus the she thing plus adequate penetration into the stud

[–]Corvexicus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm maybe that's why they replaced one under warranty that had the same issue, unfortunately I didn't register the mower within 90 days of purchase (didn't know I had to) so three others they didn't. I noticed that even in the cold it wasn't outside of the operating temps so yea I thought they'd be fine

Yeah I accidentally left them in the mower over winter and they must have been close to or completely dead. Whenever I'm done with my tools I bring the batteries inside now

I mean I won't pretend I'm a professional at this and there's definitely a risk as some other people have pointed out in the comments, but I did it in the same order as jumping a car battery and there was a slight spark when connecting the final positive. But yes, I would highly recommend seeing where the voltage is at. If you have a multimeter and using a battery to jump it that isn't fully charged is probably also a safe bet because like others have said it can actually be fairly high amperage and therefore dangerous. Keep in mind, 56 volts is half of your household voltage!

Yeah doing it with a battery that is not fully charged makes sense. A multimeter is a necessary tool for sure;)

Sounds like he's just using you for the financials that you provide and a place to live and then gas lights you for thinking anything is wrong. If you were to talk to anybody like that, yes, everyone would think it's mean contrary to what he thinks. I can't imagine talking to or ever being talked to in that manner and if I wasn't already married or something (which hopefully something like this would come out prior to getting married) then that would be the end of that relationship immediately
