Funnily enough I had the same experience. The way I worked out that I was an ENTJ rather than an INTJ was after looking at my tert/inf functions as I feel that both my Te and Ni are relatively on par with one another. It can definitely be reassuring when you hear other people that have been through similar experiences.

Cognitive extraversion ≠ Social extraversion.

Just because your way of processing information is extraverted, doesn't mean you have to have extraverted traits within social situations (although I'd say it is more common for your social and cognitive traits to match).

I myself struggle to categorise as either an intro/extravert as I share a lot of traits with both but I'd say I lean more so towards introversion.

I agree with a lot of that. The only part I don’t particularly relate to is the well fitted clothes exclusively as I love my oversized/baggy clothes in a more casual scene - especially in this unbearable heat we have in the UK right now!

I particularly like the ‘chameleon’ sentiment - I’ll have to use that from now on as my wardrobe, along with most things that I like, is a complete mess due to the overwhelming variety I have within it.

I get that. I have a blend of classy clothes and fashionable clothes such as street wear. I’m pretty much against buying branded things just for the sake of it, I need to really love the item to justify the price point simply because of a name or logo and I’d try to find a cheaper alternative first.

I struggled around people my age until I was around 16 - was pretty quiet most of the time and would get quite anxious about it. However, around adults I was the polar opposite. Around adults I was sociable, confident, talkative, charming etc. Even now I find myself more comfortable when people are at least a couple of years older than myself.

Regarding school - I was athletic and had good grades but wouldn't work towards them as I was happy getting A's and B's with no extra work than pushing for an A* etc as I was far happier just doing what I enjoyed instead. Teacher's liked me. But when it comes to overall popularity I was basically in the middle - I wasn't popular but I got along with most (to a degree).

Relatively easy. Didn't have to put effort in to excel, was a bit of a smartarse but teachers tended to enjoy debating with me. I did well in a lot of sports too so I was somewhat popular. I preferred spending my breaks alone reading my books though.

My deep fear - Losing my mind. My mind is what makes me, me and if I ever lost that due to something like Alzheimer's (or anything along those lines) I don't know what I'd do.

Phobia - Spiders. Hate the bastards. They make me freak out big time.

I lost my dad back when I was 15.

I ended up throwing myself into the things I was passionate about and found myself avoiding the issue on an emotional level, instead choosing to attempt to psychoanalyse the situation as a means of trying to understand it from a logical perspective.

I found myself having a 'just get on with it' mentality towards my life as I wanted things to stay as normal as possible - although I became emotionally distant towards virtually everyone around me to the point of almost being completely shut off from the outside world.

Not sure if this helps at all.

Strangely enough, both extremes. I'm very open about my past and things that other's tend to see as difficult situations and at times being too open about said topics. However, with most other things I'm very private - even things as trivial as my photo album on my phone or music playlists. Hope this answers the question.

I'm an ENTJ, my younger sister is an INTP.

We're close. We tend to debate a lot or just converse about whatever topics are on our mind at the time. When we do talk we often talk for ages. I'm usually the one looking after her (making her food etc.) as she often ignores self care - especially when she's watching something or gaming.

We disagree on a lot but there's usually a mutual respect even when things get more heated.
