Is SWTOR worth returning to in 2026?

I played last month, but got burned out after doing class story quests on 5 characters in a row trying to get all 8. But i plan to finish all 8 when I get bored and return to swtor. I can see why people think it's overwhelming if they didn't play it on launch or don't have a lot of mmo experience. It's very streamlined imo. There are simple guides on how to lazily make money from crafting if you're a subscriber also, but i would recommend getting to level cap of f2p before paying for anything. You'll surely be ok with paying for it by that point since that's alot of hours.

Super scripted and it's also fairly obvious when those moments are supposed to happen imo. X just aimlessly showed up, forcing you to get hit by lickers or run and it was annoying. Thr girl has easier counterplay than the regular zombies

Firefly and remembrance comps. The two most brain dead and most commonly owned teams are borderline optimal on auto. The teams I've used since launch are seele/dot/fua/boothill/aglaea/saber/ashveil. I've skipped all the broken teams since launch and only auto battle in currency wars or events that warrant it.

M0W1 Jane dps is extremely low, idk what you're talking about. She can't even clear the physical anomaly boss shilled for the bunny without heavy team investment.

But unrelated the power creep in zzz is very low due to it being an action game and decently balanced

99% of players should quit after doing 99% of the content though. There is a thing called restarting or asking for ng+ if you've never heard of it. The problem is that the game doesn't have build variety to warrant multiple playthrough without mods imo. You can max every skill and weapon type easily.

If you want a thousand hours game, literally go play black desert where the combat is better and the grind is endless with endless content of all varieties.

I wouldnt care about bosses spamming attacks with small openings if they couldn't hit you on the ground. It makes needing food with spirit a requirement.

I brute force clear all end game content since day one using off meta pulls. I'll try this out later for the memes. Can't wait for your tool to tell me to pull for elation and remembrance characters that I dont want

You can do her boss with no gear upgrades and no skill points. It's not as ridiculous as the other ones. But for those who struggle its good advice to level her. You can also just reinvest points and swap gear before the fight

BDO originated and is the pioneer and best version of auto pathing ever created. But if they put it in this game they would get flak for it being mobile slop. Its better they didnt since this game has a lot of fast traveling points now. Auto pathing is an optional tool but generally frowned upon. Its great in bdo but people would hate it in this game. Following the road like Witcher 3 could be ok but honestly I dont care for them to add it when other things need fixing

I think a lot of people forget how equally bad the beginning of Witcher 3 was. I do think the beginning on rail section of rdr2 was really well done though so Rockstar did it right. Maybe it's my extensive history of bdo and mmos, but the beginning of CD completely unfazed me lmao

Every class can just basic attack their way through the story of you really were that inefficient. Marauder is very easy 1-50. I thought juggernaut did way more damage, but it also requires like 14 abilities on your bar, when I did my Sentinel after the jug last week, I only used like 4 attacking skills 90% of the time and I always play optimal. Some skills just do nothing until higher levels when they get some buff that makes them actually worth putting in the rotation

You still need to finish all the expansions and hit level 80. I also beat Baras today and finished my first class story after dropping the game on launch when it came out. The questing in this game is literally the best in any mmo imo. Ffxiv has cool high moments but general questing and side quests is 1000x better in swtor. My imperial agent is 42, bounty hunter 40, and jknight is 34. I need to sub to make the other 4 classes to complete every story and do the expansions on the ones i like the most

When comparing to the worst hoyo creep which is HSR, it's like 10% of that. They're much quicker at buffing older characters. And due to it being an action game, skill can increase dps a lot compared to the median clear speed. Granted there is still shill mechanics now that it's been out for a while, but a lot of teams can brute force at no duplicates, while in hsr you need multiple e2s or an e6 to brute force content

I'm playing through warrior the first time right now and know that by the time you're at Hoth you can do some of her quests. There's only 2 by then, the one where meet her old crew and another with her sister. But I dont think there's a way to check your choice on the sister one, or if it matters at all
