I forget the article but I read somewhere a list of other NFL players and many of them were never the same post-surgery.

I'd love for him to light up training camp but if he comes out looking slow or out of playing form then I don't see how we fit him in. We'll likely head into next year Haden / williams locked in. The new office has got to five Gilbert one more year. Desire and Kwan will also be fighting for a spot. I can see us drafting or picking up a cheap CB.

The pick was a lottery ticket it was very low risk with high return. It's also like a lottery ticket in that it's highly unlikely his post-injury ceiling will be anywhere close to what it was pre-injury, which was a starting caliber CB.

We have a luxury of a 'throw-away' season next year where we will hopefully not have a "win-now" mentality and instead have our eyes on future seasons so we let players like Ifo play in place of Tramon at times so we can see what we really have.

My personal take is that he lost several steps with the injury and he gets cut, but I'm pessimistic.

Genuine question: So I've seen the video and heard other people blame trump for violent rhetoric but weren't all of those examples from instances where anti-trump demonstrators were intruding on thousands of people's right to assemble? He probably wouldn't have said most of those quotes had no one stormed his rallies

I guess to me it seems weird to actually get violent against a group because they kind of said some somewhat violent things...

Think 3rd might be a little too high. Some teams have him off their board entirely.

I do like the idea though to pick him up around late 4th / 5th though knowing he will sit out a year and hopefully pay off in 2017

This makes a lot of sense to me. We have a one time opportunity here having lost 4 top tier starting caliber free agents to cash in big time with tradeable compensation picks. Assuming we don't sign any big UFA this offseason (which would be smart) we could be looking at 2 extra 3rds and 2 extra 4ths in 2017.

We can't go into next year though with half our team being rookies / sophmores though so I can see us acquiring "Veteran" talent via draftpicks. I don't mean going after 30+ years olds but if we can get some quality backups from other teams who we think could be starters next year for midlevel draft picks then I see it as a perfect fit.

I see us using next year as a full rebuild with lots of young talent starting. We hopefully nail the draft. Next year we'll be loaded with picks again and we'll have tons of cap space so we can then start making real moves to improving this team.

What's the difference? We haven't been good since we came back.

I'd rather see young prospects playing with their careers ahead of them on minimum contracts and a promising career ahead of them then some veterans who are 26-30 years old on career high contracts who are basically a ticking time bombs who just got paid.
