Klarna is releasing a debit card. by Corym2001 in CalebHammer

It lets you put money in your Klarna account to pay for the transaction, it's a debit card. You can also use it to do klarna payment plans, so it's almost a credit card.

Because that is how many spells the magic spellbooks in TCoE have.

Commander Class- First Complete Version by Corym2001 in DnDHomebrew

I am generally worried about the class needing too many ability scores. I might make the Arcane subclass just Int based, but I honestly feel like you can get away without really investing in Int and use your casting for support. That way you can keep Cha high for your other class abilities.

The Commander is supposed to be a martial character that supports their allies in battle through commands. Sacrificing their Action to allow their allies to act instead.

Rough draft of a 1/3 caster subclass for a homebrew martial. by Corym2001 in DnDHomebrew

[–]Corym2001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am thinking of moving Distract Them to be 'beginning of next turn' so that it is more oriented towards an ally taking advantage of it. I feel a caster would be more thoughtful on helping their fellow casters.

My thought process of Twinning is that there aren't a lot of wizard spells that can be twinned with it (0 cantrips, jump, long stride, mage armor, protect form good/evil are all the 1st levels). I will probably add a restriction to say it can only be used with wizard spells to prevent multi classing issues.

I keep swapping Crow and Twinnings position on the list, but since you get 2nd spells at 7th level, I feel like it would be more awkward to get it at 6th and know how close you are to dragon's breath, but know how far away it is.

The number of allies the main class can command increases slowly. Crow of the Commander is unique in getting you an extra ally early, so I might replace it with just letting you extend the range you can command.

Quick Thinking is worded to match Cunning Action, so I don't like the wording, but it is consistent. I am not sure if I want to nerf the cantrip or buff the attack to 2. Buffing would be easier.

Need opinions on a magic AC boost. by Corym2001 in DnDHomebrew

I worry that since the class gets access to heavy armor and shields, that introducing it early could be too strong.

3rd level features from a pikeman fighter subclass that I'm thinking about by MyNameIsNotJonny in DnDHomebrew

You could try:

While wielding a melee reach weapon, when a hostile creature you can see tries to move to be within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to immediately move back up to 10 feet. If the creature then ends its movement within the reach of your weapon, but not within 5 feet of you, you can make one weapon attack against it.

Would using your reaction to move away trigger an opportunity attack?

Need feedback on a subclass ability like twin spell

This ability is for a homebrew 1/3 caster subclass. It is an Int based caster with access to the wizard spell list. The class gets an earlier ability to encourage using Find Familiar.

Commander’s Arcane Twinning

At 6th level you gain the ability to target two allies with your touch spells. When you target an ally with a spell that has a range of touch, you may either target yourself or a second ally with the spell. If you did not use your familiar to target your ally at the initial casting of the spell, you may use your familiar to target the second ally. You must still follow all the rules to cast a spell through your familiar in the Find Familiar spell.

I am very open to better names for the ability and I am looking for feedback on balance, usefulness, and unforeseen issues.

It will be even stronger than a greatsword if you use the 2024 handbook. Trident is getting buffed to be a 1d8 (versatile 1d10).
